She looked deep into his eyes, these eyes that had seen the universe at its worst and at its best. She placed a hand gently across his cheek. His sharp cheekbones were soft beneath her stable fingers.
"I love you," she whispered pulling close to his ear so he could hear her heart. He pulled back, his dark brown hair, a stifling mess. He looked back into her eyes and she saw that spark, the decision he made.
"Ella.." The Doctor said softly, never looking away. She could see it in his eyes, he would leave her there on earth.
"It's okay Doctor, I know. Somehow I've always known." She admitted and then before she could speak again her leaned forward. His soft lips tenderly met hers and he kissed her. His tall lengthy figure stood over her, disproportionate to her small stature. She fiercely kissed him back, passion pouring from her lips for her final goodbye. Her mind raced to to all of their wonderful adventures and it fueled her desire to never let go even more.
Then it ended blandly as she watched him from the street in front of her house. She turned around when he walked into the T.A.R.D.I.S.
For just a moment she paused as the noise of the tardis whirred in the background and them she closed the door.
