"Who are you?" I screamed.

Fabian ran out of the library as the shadow lady laughed at me. I couldn't believe him! Why would he do that?

Joy ran out after him. Why was Joy running out after my boyfri- best friend?

Before I took off after them, I glanced around the room. Jerome and Alfie were in the corner, laughing. Why were they laughing? Everyone else was celebrating, not sharing my sadness.

Oh great, I started crying. I quickly swiped my eyes with the sleeve of my jacket. I tried to put on a happy face and go celebrate, but I couldn't. I left the library and walked back to Anubis house.

In the house, I was about to go down to the cellar and try 1890 on that Victorian combonation lock, but something stopped my. Fabian and Joy kissing. I wish that was m- don't you dare complete that thought Nina! I quickly moved passed them and went down to the cellar. I must've been loud going down to the cellar, because Fabian was at my side.

"Why are you crying? Is it because I kissed Joy? Are you okay?" Fabian asked.

"I'm fine with the fact that you kissed Joy! Great, you like her again! Good for you! But I'm not okay with the fact that you and I were supposed to be best friends, and we're barely talking! I'm not okay with the fact that you didn't tell me that you had the mark of Anubis! And mostly, I'm not okay with the fact that you ran out while that shadowy creepy lady was laughing at me!" I cried.

I stormed out of the cellar and went to her room. I flopped down on my bed and quickly fell asleep.

Later, I woke to a knocking on the door.

"Who is it?" I called.

"Amber." Fabian answered.

"Go away Fabian!" I shouted.

"No." He walked into my room. I threw a pillow at him.

"Why are you here?" I asked, grumpily.

"Because I miss my best friend."

"Well then go talk to Mick."

"He's eating ice cream, crying and looking at pictures of Mara on his phone."

"Sound like a party down there."

"Please be my best friend again, Nina."

"Fine. But I have a question, are you and Joy, you know..." I trailed off.

"Noooooooo, no no no no! I still have no idea what happened, that's what I was trying to tell you."

I could her something hit something else and then I hear Alfie shout "Ow Amber that really hurt!" Then there was a knock.

"Come in!" I called.

Alfie and Jerome walked in, Amber pinching their ears.

"They know what happened with Joy." Amber said.

"We really don't." Jerome said.

Amber hit him in the stomach, really hard.

"Get. Trudy. Amber. Punches. Hard." Squealed Jerome, sinking to the ground.

"Tell them what happened with Joy!" Amber commanded.

"So, Fabian wrote a poem-" Started Alfie.

"And we found it in the couch a while ago." Continued Jerome.

"So we put the poem on Joy's clipboard this morning."

"And that's what Joy was thanking you for."

"What do you think?" Fabian asked me.

"Five minutes." I answered, laughing.

"Five minutes of what?" Screamed Alfie.

"Amber, hold them down." I commanded laughing.

Amber held Jerome and Alfie down as me and Fabian tickled Alfie and Jerome for five minutes.

After that, things got crazy. A tickle war broke out. Fabian came up behind me and got me. I quickly spun around and got him back. In the end, we all ended up rolling around on the floor, complaining about how we couldn't breath. We didn't have a signal thought or care about what was going out side of our room.

It felt good to be with friends again.
