Marriage advice

Harm walked into the bar and looked around. He noticed the men he was looking for by a table in a corner, and headed in that direction.

"Harm!" Jack Keeter waved his hand to make sure Harm saw them.

"Hi," Harm and Keeter met in a manly hug. "Good to see you, buddy."

"You too," Keeter sat down again. "Finally back from the honeymoon."

"Hi, Sturgis," Harm sat down. "Yeah, two weeks went by so fast I can hardly believe it."

"So, how's life as a married man?" Sturgis asked, and he and Keeter shared a teasing look.

"I can't complain," Harm smiled.

"Sure, you've been married for what? Five minutes. Wait until she changes," Keeter teased.

"Yeah, Harm, women change," Sturgis added.

"Change?" Harm didn't notice the teasing tone in Keeter and Sturgis voice.

"Women change after they're married. It's a known fact," Keeter took a swig of his beer. "The mystery, out the window. You'll wake up the same way, and go to bed the same way until you die. Have you gotten her pregnant yet?"

"We want kids," Harm said.

"Goodbye sex," Keeter slapped Harm's shoulder. "Kids are cute, but they will kill your sex-drive."

"I need a drink," Harm mumbled.

"Mac's pretty hot, that's for sure, but don't expect that to last. And not to mention yourself, you'll get that marriage depression that makes all married men fat," Keeter chuckled.

Harm shrugged. "Keeter, how many women have you been married to?"

"Never been married, you know that," Keeter said.

"So you have no idea what you're talking about," Harm stated. "Now, get me a beer, tell me about what's going on in your life so that I can hurry home to be with my wife."

Sturgis laughed. "He's right Keeter, you know less about marriage than anyone."

"Hey, you've never been married either," Keeter argued.

Harm finally got his beer, and spent about two hours at the bar before he left to go home.

When he arrived home he found Mac in front of the TV, and she barely said hello as he walked into the living room.

"Be quiet, I'm watching this," she said before he could open his mouth.

'Quite the welcome,' Harm thought.

He sat down on the couch and focused on the TV, where Will and Grace was on. Mac had been the one who introduced him to the show. Actually she'd introduced him to many shows, asking him more than once if he had been living under a rock.

Harm loved these moment, where he spent more time studying her than watching the TV. Her smile and laughter was addictive to him, that's why he always made sure to make her laugh at least once a day.

After the show was over she turned to him. "What?"

She must have noticed that he was staring at her. He just smiled. "I love that laughter, I'm never going to get tired of it."

"You like it even when I laugh at you?" she asked teasingly.

He chuckled. "Not so much."

She moved to sit on his lap. "How was your evening?"

He wrapped his arms around her. "I got marriage advice from Keeter."

"I want a divorce," she teased.

This made Harm laugh out loud. "You want a divorce on the basis of advice from Keeter?"

She nodded. "If that's not a good reason, I don't know what is."

"That's true," he agreed. "I don't believe anything he tells me so I think you're safe," he kissed her cheek. "And anyway, it wasn't so much advice as it was telling me what will happen now."

"Oh," she studied him. "What will happen now?"

"You will change, and you won't be mysterious anymore. And I'll get fat, because of some married man depression," he looked thoughtful. "What more... let's see.. Oh yeah, if we have kids, we won't have sex anymore."

Mac laughed.

"And then there was something about going to bed and waking up the same way until we die," Harm ran his hand over her abdomen. "We'll have to prove him wrong," his hand wandered down her thigh.

"Oh, we'll prove him wrong alright," she leaned in and kissed him.

The End.
