I sighed as I walked along the road. It was so damn hot! Why again did I choose to do this in the summer? Oh right, because I am retarded. I made it to a gas station. I looked at the sign and it was a DX. I walked in to ask if anyone knew who I was looking for. I saw a crowd of girls. I rolled my eyes and cleared my throat. The group of girls all turned and looked at me annoyed. I noticed the guy behind the counter, (who was incredibly gorgeous might I add), was looking around uncomfortably. I felt a burst of boldness spring in me and I walked up to him. I kissed his cheek and said,

"Hey sweetie! I missed you so much!" All the girls around me groaned and walked out of the gas station. The guy smiled at me in thanks and said,

"Thank you, I owe you. What's your name? I don't think I have ever seen you before." I smiled shyly and said,

"My name is Sara. What's yours?" He smiled and said,

"Hello Sara, I am Sodapop Curtis. That is my real name too." I smiled and said,

"That's an original name, I like it." He beamed at me and then asked me,

"Did you need help with some thing?" I nodded.

"Yeah. I was hoping you could tell me where someone is." He nodded his head and asked me,

"Who do you need to find?" I smiled and said,

"Dallas Winston." He smiled and said,

"Yeah I could tell you where he is, but why are you looking for him?" I looked down and took a deep breath before saying,

"Because, Dally is my brother." Sodapop's eyes widened.

"Dally has a sister? Are you seriously his sister?" He asked me. I nodded and he shook his head as if he was trying to get it through his head.

"Hey Soda, where are you at, buddy?" I heard a guy call out.

"Up in front, Steve!" All of a sudden this Steve person walked into the area we were at. He had dark brown hair that was combed back into complicated looking swirls. He smiled slightly when he saw me.

"Hi, I'm Steve Randle. What's your name?" I cleared my throat and said,

"Sara Winston." His eyes widened and he asked me,

"Your related to Dallas Winston?" I nodded shyly and he smirked. I heard the jingling of bells as the door opened to the store. I turned around and there stood my brother whom I hadn't seen for the past five years. A cigarette was balanced in between his lips as he stared at nothing really but with a glare in his eyes.

"Hey Dally, this girl says she is your sister. You know her?" Soda asked him. He stared at me for the longest time. His face held no emotion. Finally he asked,

"Sara? What the hell are you doing here?" I looked down and whispered,

"I had to get away." I looked back up at him and he closed his eyes and he walked out of the DX. I stared at the door in shock. I turned back around to face Soda and Steve. They both had shocked looks on their faces. Soda motioned for me to sit down in a chair behind the counter. I did so and felt tears fill my eyes. I blinked them back and Steve asked me,

"What did you have to get away from?" I took a deep breath and said,

"I don't want to talk about it right now if you don't mind." They nodded and all was silent as I thought about Dally.

Dally's P.O.V

I walked out of the DX with a glare etched into my eyes for the moment. I pulled out another cigarette and lit it as I slid between my lips. Did Sara not understand all the bad things that could happen to her here? I was just walking around aimlessly, going nowhere really. I sighed and then turned around to head back to the DX. I had to make things right with her.
