This one was a bit of a challenge, because I wanted it to precede convenient cousin Jeb Stuart's arrival on the scene. So it's from early in the episode, when the boys are arguing about how the General wouldn't be overheating if they hadn't decided to do some "body work" last night.

"For once, we ain't getting involved, all right?"

Bo finds this statement utterly believable.

"Hey, we ain't involved already." Really, they're not, just because they've spent the last three minutes standing up for a guy who was getting beaten on the side of the road (and it has not escaped Bo's notice that Luke let him do all the fighting), a stranger in town who thinks Boss Hogg is the Cultural Commissioner of Museums or some such thing, just because they are now in possession of the man's wallet, does not mean they are involved.

The General is most certainly not involved, spitting and sputtering and laughing at them in fits of steam. Bo reaches for the hood latch, and Luke warns him away, tells him to let it cool down. As if leaving the hood closed is going to expedite that process.

"That'll be about forty-eight minutes." Before it gets cool enough that Luke'll let him open it anyway.

"It's your own fault," Luke reminds him. "If'n you had done what you was supposed to last night…"

"I didn't hear you complaining." Oh yeah, Luke hadn't complained a bit, and from that little twist to his face, he isn't about to start now, either.

Bo looks around before grabbing Luke's hand and pulling him into the low hanging branches of a Douglas fir tree. "Bo!" gets hollered in there somewhere, but he can hardly hear it over the blood rushing through his ears on its way south. "What—"

Are you doing. Blah, blah, blah. Luke knows full well, he was there last night, too, when they decided to do some body work together. So Bo just lets go of his hand, grabs Luke's jeans by the waist instead, and pulls him close, shows him the rhythm of the day, waits for Luke to catch up and—

Forty-eight minutes later, exactly, they open the cooled-off General's hood, Luke's silly smirk matching Bo's broad smile.
