It's late, and I was tired but did not want to go to sleep yet, even though I woke up early today, so I was playing some weird game where you have to pull a piece of gum out of a person's mouth with chopsticks (I have no idea why). While playing this, I thought about how much the people at my school love gum. If you bring a pack in, it will be all gone by first period. People will seriously attack you for a stick of gum. I then thought about Maximum Ride, and I wondered if the flock liked gum. So, I wrote this extremely random and short one-shot. Enjoy.
P.S.- Almost forgot, I DO NOT OWN MAXIMUM RIDE.
Third person:
"Max, I'm hungry. Can we stop at that Wawa?" whined Nudge.
"Okay, sure, but let's make it quick," said Max, who had been craving a cream cheese stuffed pretzel. She still had some money left.
The flock landed in a wide alley and tucked there wings in. Gazzy laughed, and then pointed at the Wawa sign. It was a bird. Wawa probably is really meant for the flock.
When they got inside, they immediately started to wander around. It was like Christmas. How could so much food fit into this place? They each got a snack and a pack of gum. They all loved gum. Your ears pop while flying, but that's not just in an airplane. Gum helps. Also, who doesn't love the long lasting taste of Wrigley's gum?
Fang and Max chewed their's the fastest. They go through a pack of gum in no time, while Iggy, on the other hand, makes his last. He once chewed his for so long that it turned to paste.
The flock munched eagerly away at their gum while enjoying the passing scenery below. Max looked at her pack. There was only one piece left.
Suddenly, Fang yelled, "STOP!"
All of them came to a halt, gathering around him and treading air, if you may.
"Whoa, Fang, what's the matter," Max asked him.
"Max, can I have a piece of your gum? I ran out."
"No way, this is my last piece, get your own."
"Max, give me the gum."
"No, buzz off," Max said, right as he leaped towards her while flying. Is that even possible?
They immediately started to fall towards the ground. Max let go of the gum in the process.
"Where did it go," they both asked. Max saw it heading toward the water. It would soon meet it's doom in the lake.
"NOOOOO," Max screamed, flying towards it as fast as possible.
Fang also went towards it. They were too late, though. It made a little ker-plunck sound as it hit the water. They didn't have enough time to stop, so they both fell into the water with a much louder SPLASH.
"Oh, now you're going to get it," Max threatened.
