I hate him I hate him I hate him

Nanami's feet thudded and slid on the tiles. Shadows reached out, trying to pull him into their murky depths. His breath came in shallow gasps, forcing air into his laboring lungs. Nanami slipped, caught himself in time, and continued fleeing through the corridors. He wiped away a single tear dangling at the corner of his eye.

I hate him I hate him I hate him

He rounded a bend and let out a choked sob. A monstrous wall loomed before him, its grubby face blank and mocking. Nanami swung around but it was too late. Hongou stood before him, cheeks only slightly flushed from running. A devious smirk cracked his face. Nanami whimpered and backed into the wall.

I hate him I hate him I hate him

Instinctively, Nanami curled into a tight ball, trying desperately to protect himself from what he know was coming – Hongou's rough hands invading his body, flitting across his skin, searching for sensitive spots, drawing from him involuntary gasps and those hateful, shuddering sensations... Nanami felt tears welling up as Hongou came closer… closer… closer…

"Hongou you great big MEANIE!" Nanami screamed.

"What's going on?" Light flooded the corridors as Dan arrived on the scene. To Nanami, it was as if an angel had just descended from heaven.

"Dan-sensei, Hongou wanted to tickle me again!" Nanami cried as he attached himself firmly to his teacher's leg.

"Hongou, how many times have I told you not to tickle Nanami!" Dan scolded.

"But sensei, Nanami looks so cute when he giggles…"

"That's no excuse! Apologize to him, now!"

Hongou scowled and shuffled towards Nanami, who was still clinging to Dan's thigh like a parasite. Their eyes met briefly before Hongou turned his head to the side.

"Sorry," he growled.

"You won't tickle me ever again?" Nanami's wide, liquid eyes were shimmering with tears. Hongou's scowl deepened.

"Hongou…" Dan said warningly.

"… I won't tickle you again…" Hongou muttered unwillingly.

"Promise…?"

"… Promise."

"Yay, Hongou won't tickle me anymore!" Nanami popped out from behind Dan and grinned, all trace of tears evaporating. "Now we can be friends again!" He hugged the other boy enthusiastically.

Alarm bells began to go off in Hongou's mind. Something was not quite right. Nanami's eyes were too shiny, his smile too brilliant and his tone too cheerful… It had to be –

"PAYBACK!" Nanami yelled as he started to tickle Hongou's sides, who broke into uncontrollable giggling for a few moments before managing to stop himself and retaliate.

"NANAMI!" Hongou's outraged roars and Nanami's shrieks of laughter echoed through the entire building as the two children chased each other in lopsided circles. Dan gave a long-suffering sigh.

AN: And that was my first DSQ fic. I have no idea what Hongou and Nanami called Dan when they studied under him so I settled for sensei. Anyway, please review. Flames not allowed. Incidentally, anyone interested in Hongou/Nanami shonen-ai fics? 'Cause I'm in the middle of one. I just want to know if anyone would like to read it.
