Suki, Toph, and Sokka had finally taken control of the airship. They were nearing land when they saw blasts of fire shoot into the air and heard the earth rumbling.

"It's Aang!" Sokka shouted.

Tohp walked up beside him, "How's Twinkletoes doing?"

"I don't know," Sokka responded, "I can't see him too well."

"Let's try and get over there!" Suki shouted, at the wheel.

"No, this is Aang's fight. We need to get rid of the rest of the ships." Sokka rushed over and started fiddling with buttons.

Toph really had nothing to do. She sat and listened to the thunders her friend in battle was making.

Damn, she thought to herself, he's really putting up one hell of a fight.

Sokka, Suki, and Toph eventually managed to destroy the airships and were now driving one towards Aang. And Sokka's leg was, of course, broken.

As they neared the fight's location Toph spoke.

"Have you guys noticed anything?" She said.

They all stopped and listened.

Suki looked into the sky, "Well, the comet is gone."

"Well, that's all good and dandy but that's not exactly something I would notice," Toph said, "It's really quiet."

The sound of the airship roared and the engine room was extremely loud but everyone knew that she was talking about Aang.

"Ya," Sokka said. "It's almost too quiet."

"Do you think Aang beat him?" Suki looked at Sokka.

Wouldn't Aang just come here? I'm sure he noticed all of the ships going down… Sokka thought. What if he…

"What if lost?" Suki finished.

"I don't think he did. If he did then we'd defiantly be seeing a lot more fire in the sky."

The airship finally reached the ground and they all stepped out.

The moment Toph stepped on the ground her eyes widened. "I don't know about you guys, but I don't feel anything."

"Anything?" Suki said.

"I only see a lot of Earth. I don't see anything moving out there."

They walked for a long time. They were thinking that Aang was hurt and just couldn't find them. They were hoping that was all. Then to everyone's surprise they came across the Fire Lord.

Sokka was the first to notice him and he jumped out of his skin quite a bit.

"Relax," Toph said. "he's unconscious."

"Just unconscious?" Sokka said. "Greeeeaaaat."

Toph noticed some pieces of fallen airship around and she grabbed a large chunk of metal and bended it to the shape of his body so there would be no way for him to move.

"REALLY good idea, Toph," Sokka relaxed slightly.

"Now," Suki said, "let's find Aang."

"Hey!" Toph said. "I see Momo!"

"Then let's go!" Sokka yelled.

They followed Toph only to find Aang on the ground with Momo next to him.

Sokka ran over to him and started gently shaking him and calling him.

Toph whispered to Suki, "I don't feel anything."

"What do you mean?" Then she actually saw Toph cry. Really and truly cry. Then Sokka stood up while carrying Aang.

"Sokka?"

"He's gone."

"What?!" Suki yelled. "He's gone?! You mean he's… dead?"

Sokka just ignored her and carried the boy to the airship, all the while thinking of his sister.

…..

Well, there you have it. This was a little idea my brother gave me. Where Aang wins but dies. I have a few ideas on how this will continue. Please review! ;)
