Author's Note: This is my first Soul Eater fan fiction. It is probably not the greatest, but I did the best I could. I hope that you all enjoy it.

Chapter 1: Feelings

The sound of footsteps could be heard as the male made his way into his laboratory. His gray locks covered his olive eyes as he noticed his weapon preparing a meal in the kitchen. He made his way over to his room, closing the door. She seems hard at work as usual. He went to his computer and began typing up the information for an upcoming assignment that he had planned for the next class. His eyes staring at his computer screen intently, he stopped typing when he heard the sound of something breaking. He went out into the kitchen to see what had happened with Marie.

Marie was preparing a dish, when she accidentally dropped one on the ground. The blonde looked back and noticed Stein standing behind her. "What are you doing here Stein?" The blonde asked tilting her head. Stein let out a sigh and glanced at her.

"I heard something crash, and I came to see what happened. Are you alright?" He asked her faintly looking at her. Marie panicked and bowed her head apologizing to the scientist multiple times. "I'm so sorry. I'll get this cleaned up right away." She stated attempting to pick up the pieces.

"Wait, Marie!" Stein wanted to warn her about the broken glass, but it was too late. The weapon had cut her leg when kneeling to pick up the pieces. "Oh no!" She stated wincing at the pain from her injury.

"I told you to wait, didn't I?" He stated before going to the cabinet to take out the bandages. He tore off the white material with his teeth and gently wrapped it around her wound, after disinfecting it. "I'll clean this up." He stated regaining his composure and sweeping the broken pieces up and into a trash can. Marie blinked and smiled faintly at the male.

There were moments when Stein could be kind and considerate, even though he had trouble controlling the madness inside of him at some moments. It was tough for her to watch, but she hoped her soul wavelength would be beneficial for him. Stein cleaned up his hands and turned around to look at the blonde. His stoic expression still in place. Marie smiled at him and said "Thank you". Stein simply nodded his head in response. Her soul wavelength seemed to have a calming impact on his soul, despite his bouts of madness occurring. He couldn't understand why this was happening. He was a person incapable of having such an emotion. Although, deep down within his soul, he felt something stirring and couldn't put it into words.
