AN: So this is just a short little drabble (I did it!) set at the end of chapter two of Order of the Phoenix 'cause I thought Harry was being a little shitty.

"YOU HEARD YOUR AUNT, NOW GET TO BED!" Harry repressed a sneer and turned away from his fuming Uncle and Aunt. Dudley was still shuddering at the table, trying to recover from his close encounter with the Dementors.

Harry managed not to mutter irately as he trudged up the steps with his mind buzzing in hostility and fear. What was going to happen to him and why wasn't anyone doing anything yet? Short, useless letters were nowhere near enough to assuage his all-consuming curiosity.

Doesn't this all have to do with me? Shouldn't I get to know what's happening in my own damn life? Harry thought, hand on his doorknob and mere seconds from slamming it. Dudley moaned pitifully downstairs and Harry stopped dead- of course he had already pushed the door so it quickly swung two inches before it crashed into his foot.

He winced but this still didn't stop the harsh memory of his first meeting with a Dementor from flashing spectacularly before his eyes. What would he have done if Lupin hadn't been there to offer chocolate and an explanation? Harry couldn't possibly imagine what spoiled-rotten-Dudley could have in his memories that caused him any amount of pain- except maybe the memories of eating only celery for dinner a couple years prior- but no one should be stuck with that feeling of cold nausea and utter hopelessness for any length of time.

Questioning his sanity, Harry strode over to the loose floorboard near his bed and pried out a slab of Honeydukes' chocolate. He tore off a large piece, grabbed a spare bit of parchment and a pen (the Dursleys were incomprehensibly afraid of his quill and forbid him from using it), and scribbled down the same words Lupin had spoken to him: "Eat it. It'll help."

He laid the two peace offerings at Dudley's door and returned to his own room to nibble on chocolate, worry endlessly, and scrawl out some angry letters to his ever-silent friends.
