He couldn't believe what he had done. He just stared at her, watching as her blood mingled with the water. It was the sound of a large bang that brought him back to reality. He had to move her body. He looked around and saw that the maintenance room door was slightly ajar. That would have to do for now; the bang indicated someone was approaching. He quickly carried her from the water's edge into the small room. He placed her down against the wall and looked around for something to clean up the blood. He found a bucket on one of the shelves and quickly moved back over to the water. The door automatically closed behind him without his notice.
As he was washing away the blood, he heard another loud bang. The person was getting closer. He quickly went back to the maintenance room to retrieve her, but when he reached it, the door wouldn't open. It had automatically locked behind him earlier.
It was then that he heard someone's jingling keys. There was nothing he could do about her now. He had to leave her.
He bolted for the side door he had come in through and ran through just in time for the security guard not to notice the quiet click of the side door locking.
