Sonic SatAM is owned by SEGA and Dic Entertainment (now Cookie Jar Entertainment). I don't own it, and unfortunately don't see myself doing so at any time in the near future.

While looking at some SatAM episodes on YouTube for nostalgia's sake, I became aware of a certain web comic uploaded by a group called "Fans United for SatAM" called "SatAM Sea3on." It's actually an excellent continuation of the series and is very true to the mood and feel of the show. One of my favorite things about the comic is the relationship between Snively and Naugus (very reminiscent of Robotnik and Snively) and felt the need to write a fanfiction concerning their relationship in the hopes that some SatAM fans might read this and be introduced to the comic as well. Puppet on a String

You'd like to think you're in control now, Snively. You'd like to think you're a greater ruler for Mobius than that foolish Uncle of yours ever could be. You'd like to believe that you can actually succeed where he failed and take out the Quickster and the rest of the Freedom Fighters and win the little war that he started.

Pfft. How laughable.

Back when Robotnik was in control, you were nothing more than an insignificant lackey of his, suppressed by his overbearing weight (in more ways than one). Now that he's gone, you think you can finally outdo that treacherous fool and you're trying to prove that through your little "rescue" of me from the Void. Whereas he saw me as the greater threat to his plans and sought to eliminate me, you see a potential "partner" who can easily fill the role you previously had with him.

But in actuality, while you may claim to be the one in charge here, you're still just a lackey as always. You may the one ordering me about, but all that has occurred, all that you're doing now has been brought about as a result of my master plan.

Whose control of the Quickster was convienently lost just as you were about to gain the information you needed in order to beat his friends once and for all? Wouldn't want you to win your little war so soon before I've had the opportunity to put my own plans into action now, would we? Who was the one who introduced you to the existence of the Chaos Emeralds you're now putting so much effort into finding? The closer your technology comes to finding those gems, the closer I get to bringing my plans to fruition.

The time will soon be coming when you will have fulfilled your end of the Deal, Snively. When that time comes, the insults you have placed upon me since my "rescue" will finally be repaid in kind. I can't wait to see the look on your face when you learn that the so-called "new Ruler" is still just the pawn in the game of a superior intellect as always.

You'd like to think you're in control now, Snively, but in actuality you are, as you've always been, a puppet on a string.
