The Patakis: Episode Four
I know some people are confused on why I am separating these into stories and not chapters and it's simple. I want you to keep reading! Also, I think it's easier. I also think it is clever, so it seems as though it is an actual television series and not just a story. I am being creative! You cannot argue with that. I don't always make sense but as one of my favorite cartoon characters once said, "What fun is there in making sense?" The people who know what my other favorite show is will understand who I am talking about. ;) Anyway, on with the story/episode. (:
I am so confused right now.
"Why exactly? You never mentioned this before? Let me guess, Olga told you to do this," I say. She shakes her head no. I raise my brow.
"I have decided to do this for our family. I don't want this family to fall apart. We are doing well financially but not personally. I think we need to spend more time with each other. Sure, Olga has mentioned this before but I decided to do this myself. I care about you and this family. I am your mom and I should start acting like it," She says. I roll my eyes but I am actually thrilled. I hope she really means it. I don't want a life like this anymore. I want to be a child while I still have time.
"Well, if you actually mean this then…I guess it's good," I say. She smiles and gives me a hug. I am hesitating but I hug her back. "Well…I am going to go upstairs but I hope this all works out. I…love you mom," I say. She has tears in her eyes.
"I love you too sweetie." I smile and I walk upstairs and lie on my bed. I think this is going to be good. I hope so anyway. I am getting tired. My eyes are fluttering. I should fall asleep soon.

"Why did you leave?" Arnold is asking me. I raise my brow.
"What do you mean? You left me." He shakes his head.
"No…you left yourself. I simply triggered it and for that I am sorry. I never meant for this to happen. I hope you see that this is not the way to being happy. You should go on with your life and don't let me leaving, affect the way you act. You should try your hardest in school and treat your mom better. She is trying to do better. Can you please do this for me?" He is asking. I nod my head. He smiles and gives me a kiss on the cheek. I sigh and then I wake up.

It's morning. I have mixed feelings about the morning. Nothing bad has happened yet but in time something will happen. I am starting to get up but I find me stopped.
Why did I have that dream? Was it my mind telling me that I need to do better and not be such a bum? Arnold told me this so I need to listen. He is so smart and I'm sure he will never stop. I know what I need to do now. It is simple. I have to do something that I haven't done in a long time.
