This is the first part of a chapter in a book I'm currently writing. I want everyone who reads this to write a review with your thoughts after reading this.
Quick run-through of what is happening. Tilee is the main villain in this book. The characters in this paragraph are shapeshifters(wolves), and some kind of mutants.
We sprinted in pursuit of Tilee's warriors, our paws making only the slightest whisper of noise upon contact with the soft earth, something one could only hear if they knew what to listen for. On the low-laying branches of the trees, the multicolored autumn leaves rustle quietly as we pass by, giving the illusion of a gentle fall breeze. The distant and almost inaudible shrieking of the mutants that make up Tilee's personal guard gives the forest a haunted feeling, like there is something lurking in the shadows waiting to devour anything that crosses its path. That alone is the reason they shriek. On most missions Tilee takes them on, their shrieks would be enough to frighten off any living thing they come across. Unsuspecting humans make a smart choice if they leave an area upon hearing these shrieks. The horrid screams scarcely begin to measure up to what awaits you, should you get in the mutants' way. They are merciless beasts with an unquenchable blood-lust. Their helpless victims have nowhere to run when surrounded by all 13 of them. Their piercing, crazed, blood-red eyes and low demon-like growls literally scare their prey half-to-death before they go for the kill. With unfathomable speed, they lunge toward their waiting meal. The screaming on the unfortunate being now locked between nine or more sets of razor-sharp teeth only encourages them as they devour it alive. After a few minutes all that remains is a few shattered bones and small pools of blood on the ground.
I crave your thoughts about this. Please PLease PLEASE review. ~AG
