Nami tossed and turned in her hammock. For some reason, she just couldn't sleep tonight. She quietly sat up and looked around. The room was shrouded in darkness except for a single square of light coming in through the window. Moonlight. And if she remembered correctly from the position of the stars, it was the full moon.

Well, as long as I'm awake.

Swinging her thin legs around the side, she softly landed on the wooden floor of the Going Merry. She crept out of the room, being careful not to wake anyone. Opening the door, she walked out onto the deck, heading for the railing next to Luffy's 'special seat'. Leaning against the aforementioned railing, she smiled at the beautiful black sea and white moonlight.

"It really is a nice night, huh, Nami?"

Nami stifled a shriek as she almost fell over. Whipping her head around, she saw Luffy smiling his trademark smile and leaning next to her.

Raising her hand, she smacked him upside the head. "Don't scare me like that, you jerk! I almost had a heart attack!"

Luffy just laughed. "You're so funny, Nami!"

Turning away, she growled, "What are you doing out here at this hour anyway?"

"I was going to get some meat, but Sanji put some new locks on the freezer, and I haven't figured out how to pick those ones yet. Then I couldn't sleep, and I saw you, so I decided to join you!

"So," he continued, leaning against the railing and smiling – not a large, toothy grin, but a genuine smile – "what are you doing out here?"

"I couldn't sleep. Plus," she said, looking up at the sky, "I wanted to see the full moon."

Luffy looked up as well. "Wow! It's so pretty! Just like y—" he stopped himself and quickly looked away, a light red blush dusting his cheeks.

Nami looked at him. Could he feel the same way…? "What was that, Luffy?"

"Uh… I said the moon looked pretty."

"You said something after that…" she teased.

"No I didn't!"

"You're a terrible liar, Luffy." She laughed. "And if you don't tell me, I'll have to start charging you 10 beris per second."

"What!? That's like…" he looked up and did some calculations in his head. "100,000 beris per minute!"

"And if you don't want to pay, you'd better tell me," she intoned sweetly.

Luffy looked down and mumbled something.

Nami leaned in exaggeratedly. "Sorry, what was that? I didn't quite catch it…"

"I said… I said that the moon is pretty. Just like you."

"Aw, Luffy!" She put a hand over her heart. "You really think so?"

"Yeah…"

"Good! Then you won't mind if I do this!" without warning, she leaned in to his face and pecked him on the cheek.

He rubbed the spot in surprise. "Nami… you…"

Abandoning words, they began to kiss more passionately under the beautiful moonlight.

Robin, Chopper, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji watched the kiss from the shadows. Sanji was furiously struggling against the strong grip of Robin's hands, most likely mumbling from behind the one on his mouth how he was going to kill Luffy.

"So they do like each other…" said Usopp happily. He sighed dreamily and clasped his hands together under his chin. "It's just like a fairy tale!"

"Yeah!" said Chopper, imitating Usopp. "Just like a fairy tale!"

"Well, I'm tired," muttered Zoro, getting up and making as if to leave. "We can tease them about it in the morning."

Robin smiled at the couple as Sanji struggled more furiously than before.
