Sometime after midnight, it had started to rain in the desserts of 2fort. It would have made no difference, if the lightning hadn't struck somewhere nearby, awaking the two passengers inside the camper parked by the gate around the RED's base. Lance stood up and checked outside the window while the smaller figure on the bed sat up, wrapping the blanket around herself. "Anything wrong? Is the base on fire? Is BLU's base on fire? Oh God . . . Is it those fucking robots coming to attack HERE?!" Ember asked, peeking out from the blanket she had bundled herself in. "Nah, just a little bi of lightning, Princess. It's the rainy season, it's probably gonna go on like this for a while." He smirked, not looking away from the window. She stuck her tongue out, just to be pushed back onto the bed. He had begun to laugh, but was quickly pulled down onto the bed. They laid there cuddling quietly, listening to the rain fall. Cuddling then turned into kissing, which quickly turned into touching, which led to further physical contact.
Ember came minutes later with Lance deep inside her, thrusting until he came as well, holding her hands down on the bed as he gently nipped the nape of her neck. He laid next to her on the bed, holding her tight and leaving trails of sleepy kisses on her face and neck. She sighed quietly, laying her head back against him. He smiled as he groggily rolled onto his back, holding her against him in a possessive manner. She laid with her ear pressed against his chest, closing her eyes. "Mm, what're you doing there, love?" Lance asked, his eyes half lidded as he watched the female. "Listening to your heart . . . can't you see?" She asked, a slight smirk forming as he lightly rubbed his thumb against her exposed cheek. "I love it . . . It's just . . . really soothing. It's easy to fall asleep listening to it; and your heart . . . its beat is just perfect." She whispered, yawning quietly behind her hand. He smiled and held her closer, listening to her breathing become slow and regulated. Lance yawned to himself, looking out the window of his camper at the steady downpour. "Hopefully it floods the damn place . . . " He thought to himself with a slight grin, looking down at Ember once more before drifting off into sleep himself. "Yeah . . . Flood the damn place and let us just lay here like this . . . "
