Hello readers! It's SweetLikeSyrup58 back with a new story! Woohoo! Honestly, I've always wondered what would happen if Shin was granted a second chance at life by sacrificing his memories to grant that one wish. This first chapter may be short and I promise you the next chapter will be longer. Well, here we go!

Prologue

Shin stood in a sunny meadow with a content smile spread across his face while the sun shined down on the young man. However, his moment was ruined when he heard footsteps approaching behind him and he turned around to see a woman in her 20's walking towards him with a tiger trailing behind her. Her elegant dress blew softly in the breeze as she stopped walking and stood there, hands on top of one another and a kind expression gracing her features.

"Hello there. You must be Shin Kamiya, right?" she asked in a gentle voice and he nodded, unable to speak as he stared at her with curious eyes. "I am Kazumi Mishima, the one who gives others a second chance at life. You want another chance, correct?" she guessed and Shin whispered his answer, determined to get his second chance. The older woman nodded and spread her arms wide, summoning thousands of screens in the beautiful sky overhead.

"I may give you the chance now, but you must sacrifice these in order to proceed." she replied and snapped her fingers, allowing the screens to display his memories for him to view. "M-My m-memories?" he stammered and felt his heart drop into the depths of hell, tears streaming down his face as he stared at his favorite memory of all time. It was when he was only five and his parents watched him ride his bike eagerly through the neighbourhood, their cheers motivating him to go further,

He couldn't sacrifice any of the memories he had cherished his entire life. Taking in a deep breath, Shin wiped away his tears and looked at Kazumi with determination in his eyes. "I'll do it."

Shin woke up in a hospital room with groggy eyes and looked around the room with slow movements. Two people rushed over to him and hugged him tightly, tears streaming down their faces as they continued to hug the bewildered teenager. "My son's alive!" Shin's mother, Mariko Kamiya, exclaimed happily and let go of her son. His father, Toshigawa Kamiya, smiled proudly at his son and patted his back gently.

"Who are you?" he asked them and watched as their happy expressions turned into confused ones. "We're your parents, Shin!" Mariko explained and watched as he shook his head in disagreement. The twenty-two year old boy stared at them with confused eyes and watched as Mariko exploded into tears as realization hit both parents roughly. Their son was alive, but his memories were now long gone.
