Introduction
"Today is going to be a different day", Elena thought. "I will love today and I will survive through it. I won't be that girl who lost her parents. I will be Elena Gilbert, the girl who's independent, strong, and that nothing could bring me down, I will be that girl." It was Elena's first day of school, she actually wanted to go, she needed it after all of the shit that happened to her in the summer, her parents passing away in Wickery Bridge, her brother, Jeremy, turning to drugs after the loss and being traumatized, her whole life turning upside down. She thought that if she can survive through this then nothing else can bring her down. She just wanted her life to be normal again, her worst problem being that she has a zit on her face or that her boyfriend just broke up with her, typical teenager girl stuff. She decided to stop thinking about this and having a good day, trying to move on and bringing her life and happiness back together. "I should be getting ready", She said to get her mind off of this.
Elena got out of the shower, got dressed up and did her hair. It took her only 5 minutes to do her makeup, normally she would take time on doing her makeup, but she thought that it wasn't really worth it,that it was just school, She just put on mascara, foundation, and lip gloss, and she threw her leather jacket on. Each girl had that item that they cannot leave the house without, for some it's makeup, or a designer bag, or maybe even a necklace a great great grandmother gave them, but for Elena it was her leather jacket. Especially since it was the last thing that her mother gave to her after she passed away from the car crash. "Elena, Hurry up, get something to eat!" Aunt Jenna Yelled. "I'll be done in a second" She yelled back, "Oh yeah and tell your brother to hurry up" "Okay."
Elena knocked on Jeremy's Door telling him to hurry up, Jeremy opened the door a second later and went downstairs dressed and ready for the first day of high school. He didn't really care at all though, the only reason why he wants to go is to go see Vicki, he could care less about school or friends.
As Elena went downstairs she told Jeremy to hurry up so she can drive both him and herself to school, Both Jeremy and Elena said Bye to Aunt Jenna, "Bye Guys." "Today is going to be a different day" Elena thought.
