Yeah, this is just something I had my mind on (a lot) and decided to play around with it. Whether I actually (read:TRY TO) finish this story is up to you guys. Though I might just write for the fun of it, but wont post if you guys don't like it.
Anyway, this is a crossover of Fairy Tail, Naruto, and Bleach (3 of my top fav animes).
NOTE: I did finish Bleach and (what was there) of Fairy Tail. Naruto... well... let's just say I spoiled some stuff for me, and I'm in denial that some stuff happens, and I don't wanna see that stuff (that totally does NOT happen) play out. =w=' plz dun kill me. (Also prepare for non-canon stuff and OOC-ness, also I will not be writing any pairings)
Also, this starts at after the GMG, the Fullbringer arc, and after the three year time skip in Naruto (Sasuke was dragged back by Naru at the end of their battle at the Valley of End).
Anyway, let's get to the story
Disclaimer I dont own these three animes or characters (if I did, things would have played out MUCH differently) and they belong to their respected creators.
It was a normal day in the city of Magnolia. The massive castle-like guild hall of the famed and, reagined title of, number one guild in Fior was just as rambunctious as usual. Chairs flying, tables smashed, and walls punctured in the midst of a brawl currently going on.
Elfman screaming "MAN" as he threw another chair at a random direction (hoping to take out an opponent) only to be taken out by an iron rod from Gajeel. Erza, who had joined in a little while ago, becuase someone knocked over her cake, took out anyone near her.
And at the center of all of this was a certain Salamander and an Ice Popsicle.
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU SAY ICE STRIPPER?!"
"YOU HEARD ME DRAGON BREATH!"
Fire and ice clashed as the two fought. Not even paying attention to the world around them. That is, until a certain red head knocked them both on the head.
"Gray! Natsu! Knock it off!"
Natsu fell the the floor and was about to argue, until he saw who had hit him. He and Gray clutched eachother in fear as the Great Titania Erza loomed over them.
Ezra had managed to stifle the fight around them and was now solely on them with a demonic gaze.
"Heh heh, d-don't worry Erza, w-we were just having a friendly spat. A-Ain't that right Natsu?"
"Aye."
"Looks like Happy 2 made an appearance."
Mira giggled at that. Natsu and Gray were now stuttering in fear. Yup, a normal day in the Fairy Tail Guild within Magnolia.
That is until Natsu went quiet.
He just stopped stuttering and went eerily quiet. His eyes unfocused, as they starred at the doors of the guild hall.
Gray looked at Natsu, they unlocked arms a while ago and were just sitting in front of Erza.
"Natsu? You alright?"
It was Erza who asked the question that was on everyone's mind. Though Natsu didn't answer, he just kept staring at nothing.
"Yo, Flame Brain, what's going on with you?"
At that Natsu managed to snap out of it, "What did you call me, Popsicle?!"
Gray, previous empathy forgotten, retaliated, "Who you calling Popsicle, Chili Breath!"
"KOCK IT OFF!"
Erza's gauntlets crashed down on their heads to shut them up. Not to anyone's surprise, it worked effectively.
They both fell to the floor, clutching their heads in pain. The scene was so normal that it almost made everyone forget Natsu's strange behavior. Almost.
"Now, I want you both to stop fighting and act like civilized mages of the guild."
"Aye."
Both said that, as they did not want to envoke the Fairy Queen's wrath.
"Now Natsu," said mage was now quivering in fear of what he had done. "Why were you so quiet all of a sudden."
"What do you mean?"
Erza was a little annoyed by the reply, but did not deter her from finding out.
"Just a few moments ago you and Gray were stuttering, then a second later you went quiet and got a far away look in your eye. I want to know what that was about."
The guild was quiet at Erza's forwardness to the topic. Then again, she liked to gain quick results.
Natsu looked a little shocked and apprehensive at first, but as quickly as it came it was gone. He just placed a goofy smile on his face and answered.
"Oh, that, I was just thinking of something I ate yesterday. It looked weird and Gray's ugly face reminded me of it."
Gray looked at him incredulously then resolved into anger, "What the hell did you say Fire face!?"
"You heard me Ice cube!"
"Fire cracker!"
"Ice princess!"
"Volcano barf-"
"KNOCK IT OFF," they were once again knocked on the head, "I swear you boys are going to end up destroying the guild hall... again."
They rubbed their abused heads and simply cursing her and her monstrous strength. After that, things went back to -somewhat relatively- normal.
It was almost 9:30 pm when Natsu and Happy left the guild hall. The only ones that were left, were Erza, Mira, Lucy, Team Shadow Gear, Macao, and Wakaba.
Mira was tending to Erza, Lucy, and Levy at the bar, while the others were at the tables.
"It was strange. I've never seen Natsu act like that. In fact, I've never really seen him so quiet and still, I never thought he was capable of doing that."
Mira giggled at Lucy's comment. Though she had known Natsu longer, she too had hardly seen a time when Natsu was so still. The dragon slayer was always full of energy, and was constantly doing something.
"I guess your right. It is strange to see Natsu like that."
"Why do you think he did act the way he did?"
Levy's question hung in the room, as everyone was now sorta listening in.
"It's hard to say. No matter how long we've known him, the kid's still an enigma to us. Sure, he may seem like an open book, but there are some pages that are just sealed so tight, that I don't think even master could open 'em."
Though what Wakaba said is true, it was still hard to wrap their heads around it.
"Well, even then, Natsu is still Natsu. He'll talk to us eventually. And it's not like we all don't have secrets we have kept from each other. We just have to wait."
Jet was right, they jsut had to wait. Though, who knows how long that would take.
Lucy got up and stretched, "well, I'm going to head home. I'll see you guys tomorrow."
They said their good nights to Lucy, and she left to her apartment. The conversation she had, as well as fhe day's events were jumbling around in her head, and starting to give her a headache. I'll just deal with this tomorrow.
She got in bed after placing on her pajamas, turned off the lights, and fell asleep.
-Meanwhile-
Natsu looked over at the small clock over the front door to his house. It was nearly 12 o'clock at night. He quickly adjusted his satchel filled with small, but filling, rations, and put on a black cloak with a red dragon on his left shoulder. He pulled up the hood, and was about to leave, when he heard Happy behind him.
"Natsu? What are you doing, go back to sleep, it's to early to go fishing."
Happy was walking down the hall, he had heard Natsu get up and went to investigate. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes, and took a good look at Natsu. Then he frowned in confusion.
"Natsu, what are you doing, are you leaving?"
Happy was now flying up to Natsu's eye level. He look sad and confused. Why was his best friend leaving?
Natsu sighed and turned away. He did a few hand signs, and small traces of magic energy flowwed to his right hand.
"I'm sorry Happy. But I have to do this, just remember that you'll always be my best friend."
Happy didn't have time to register the words, as Natsu's right hand landed on his forehead. Darkness consumed his vision as he was sent into a forced sleep.
Natsu caught his little buddy before he fell onto the cold, hard ground. He gave a small sigh, and set Happy back into his hammock. When that task was completed, he went back to the from door oened it quietly, and quickly left heading towards a small mountain in the middle of Magnolia Forest.
-Time skip-
It was nearly lunch time in the city of Magnolia. As usual, a small scuffle was going on in the middle of the guild hall. Though, it was easily resolved as a certain fire dragon was not present. Said dragon's team was currently sitting at the bar discussing the fire mage's absence.
"Maybe the stupid pyromaniac slept in really late again. Not the first time he's done it."
"No, that's not it. Happy would have been here already to inform us."
"Well, maybe Natsu and Happy both slept in really late?"
"As much as I want to think that happened Wendy, I don't think so. Normally when they sleep in this late, it's because they are in my room. But, neither he nor Happy broke into my apartment last night."
Mira was listening into the conversation, and it was evident that they were worried. To be honest, she was worried too. Natsu was like a little brother to her, and she doesn't want to loose a part of her family. She doesn't want what happened to Lisanna to happen to Natsu.
"Why don't you guys check up on him. His house isn't that far from here."
Erza seemed to mull over it, but before she could decide on what to do, the guild doors burst open. A frantic and disheveled looking Happy burst into the guild hall.
"NATSU'S MISSING!"
