Prologue
"Hey, look at that girl,"
"Tch, she's a loser. Look at how she read like nerd,"
"Ewww. Nerdy girl. No way, but how bout we have some fun with her?"
Maka sobbed as her book got torn up by the bullies. They laughing at her as they call her loser, nerd or nobody.
She feels lonely and scared as nobody will play with her. Her Mama and Papa are busy with their job. She read books to pass the time.
"Hey! Take on somebody your own size!"
The bullies look back but too late as one of the boys got sucker punch to the face.
The leader grab the "hero" and turn him around. The boy have blue hair with eyes so determined. His right shoulder have a star tattoo.
"Woah, twerp. How about you run along to your mommy before we beat you up," the leader warned.
The boy duck and headbutt the leader chin. The latter unfortunately bite his tongue and whimper in pain as he fell on his butt.
The leader sobbed loudly and retreat with his gang. The boy snort while he look at how the bullies run away cowardly.
The boy look back and saw the girl sobbing from her torn up books. He pick-up the cover and pass it to the girl.
"Hey,"
The girl looks up. She saw the boy with a charming smile. He holding the cover.
"The bullies not gonna disturb you again. As long as I'm here," the boy jerk his thumb towards himself.
The girl awwed as she received the cover.
"Oh yeah. My name is Black Star. What's your name?" Black Star asked
The girl looks up and can't imagine she have a first friend.
She blushed as she replied
"My name is Maka, Maka Albarn."
What they didn't know, their fates began to intertwine.
