Hands grip the steering wheel, rock music plays softly through the stereo, a light breeze drifts in through the window. Sam and Kevin are asleep, their quiet snores mix with the music and the hum of the impala's engine. It's 1 A.M, Dean is alone and his thoughts are haunting him.

Cas.

The thought of the angel causes tears to well up in Dean's eyes. He remembers the strangled cry of "Dean!" from Cas' throat, before Cas was pulled away from him by some monster, then a flash of light and Dean was home, without his angel. Now they are separated on two different planes. Muttering a curse under his breath he quickly wipes his eyes, glancing over at Sam, hoping that his brother didn't see.

No matter what he told Sam, Cas isn't dead.

He can't be.

Dean needs him and will find a way to get him out of Purgatory.

Dean needs his angel.
