A/N: Hi y'all this is my first story! Recess was my favorite cartoon when I was growing up, and this story just kind of popped in my head. This will probably be no longer than 10 chapters long. Kinda nervous cause this is my first story, so please R&R and enjoy!
Disclaimer: I do not own recess or any of its characters
Ashley Spinelli woke up on a warm October day from the sounds of cabinets closing and people talking. Rolling over in her bed, she looked at her alarm clock and saw it read 7:30. Even though it was her day off from work, she decided to wake up early to help her husband get the kids off to school.
After her days at Third Street School, Spinelli went on to the University of Arkansas. There she found a passion for writing and majored in journalism. She now was the head editor of the art section in the Chicago Tribune, and also occasionally wrote some wrestling articles for the sports section. In high school she lost some of her "tough girl" persona and became a beautiful young lady. She no longer wore pigtails or the famous orange ski cap, instead opting for having her long raven hair fall past her shoulders. However, just because Spinelli had finally accepted that she was a girl, did not mean if she had to she was not afraid to introduce people to Madame Fist. Nowadays Spinelli no longer even went by Spinelli, instead opting to go by Ash (still if you called her Ashley, you could expect a bruise on her arm). She hadn't totally ditched her old name however, as her husband and friends from her childhood still called her Spin.
Finally rolling out of bed, Spinelli looked at the three pictures that sat on her nightstand next to her alarm clock. One was a picture of her and her husband taken on the beach on their wedding day. Spinelli had been opposed to a beach wedding leading up to that day, but now looking back realized she wouldn't have had it any other way. Next to her wedding picture was a picture of her and her husband on the day of their high school graduation. There they stood in their graduation gowns and caps with their arms around each other, smiling from ear to ear. Not only was that the day they graduated from high school, but that was the day Spinelli's husband proposed to her. The final picture was shot all the way back in fourth grade. There Spinelli sat on the steps to Third Street Elementary School dressed in her orange ski cap, leather jacket, and giant black boots. Next to her with his arm around her, sat her future husband, dressed in a backwards red baseball cap, green jacket, and red sneakers.
Snapping out of her memories, Spinelli finally went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and comb her hair before going downstairs to make sure her kids got to school in one piece. As she walked into her kitchen she could hear the familiar sounds of her kids arguing. Her seven year old boy twins were arguing over who would wear a red shirt today, while her ten year old daughter sat there yelling at them to shut up. Spinelli walked past the chaos she knew she would have to deal with in a couple of seconds to her husband who was reading the paper, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
"Moring Spin," said her husband looking down from his paper into her deep chocolate brown eyes.
"Morning Teej," said Spinelli walking over to pour herself a cup of coffee.
A/N: So surprise it was TJ! Lol I know it was obvious but I kind of liked writing it like that trying to leave some sense of doubt. I know this chapter's slightly dull, but it was supposed to be more of a set up chapter. Don't worry the dialogue will pick up and you will get to learn more about TJ and his and Spinelli's kids! If you have the time I would appreciate any reviews. Thanks!
