I AM THE RAIN
Dedicated to Aeris Gainsborough. This was posted on the 22nd of February, rumoured to be Aeris' birthday.
I am the rain,
That falls in of time.
I am the darkness,
Your hand clutches mine.
I am the tightness,
The fear felt inside.
I am the longing,
You felt when you cried.
I am the rupture,
The scar on your skin.
I am the knife,
That cuts from within.
I am the tension,
The ending is near,
I am the deepest,
Darkest of fear.
I am the cry,
Desperation is now,
I am the lover,
To come rescue you now.
I am the blade,
That cuts through your soul,
I am the love,
That has taken its toll.
I am the flowers,
On which you lie,
As your lips part,
I am your last sigh.
A/N: Sorry, this is a long author's note explaining why some things are in the poem.
I am the rain, that falls in of time: I know this line doesn't really make sense, but anything goes in poetry.
I am the darkness, your hand clutches mine: okay, this is a really desperate motion by Aeris because she wants Cloud to be there to protect her so much that she imagines she's holding his hand.
I am the knife that cuts from within: this is not actually when she dies; this is one of those pangs of desperation and fear that you feel when you know you're going to die.
And that's about all.
Hope you enjoyed, please review!
