The Home of the Braves
CHAPTER oNE"Welcome back ladies and gentlemen I am Logan Cooper and I will be your eyes and ears for the second half of this phenomenal match. If you are only now just tuning in I have one question for you – Where have you been? Admittedly the future of this match began to look a tad rosier for the 'School of the Future's Soccer Team' towards the end of the first half, leading 2 – 0." "Damn It!"
You could feel the tension bouncing off of the stands as at least two hundred students screamed and chanted for their respective teams. Rival schools since the early eighties Harvey Milk High, home of The Braves, and School of the Future hosted their multi championship winning team. It was a question of heart verses brutality as the two teams clashed for one final time this season as they went into battle for the prestigious championship trophy.
"Second Half and we are heading for our 4th championship win for the second consecutive year in a row. For all those Harvey Milk students whose radio just died that means we have now won two years in a row, one after the other. If you still don't understand look it up I can't put it any simpler. 'The Braves' coach Brian Lattimore looks like he is going to blow a gasket as yet another near miss gets past sub Randall Johnson and that looks like the end of Johnson's evening as he is being dragged off and replaced by the girl. I would just like to be the first to officially congratulate our team on their championship win as it looks like even the coach has lost all hope of winning this match."
"Ok and we are back in the game and on the air. Joshua Reese runs alongside Future's Richardson, leading high school goal scorer in the state of New York City. He rescues the ball. Passes to Nell Morgan who forwards it onto Roderigo Laos clears it and passes to our Captain Tom Smith and GOAL! We are chasing Future's tails and they don't like it, they don't like it one bit. They obviously didn't see that one coming. And ouch nasty tackle on John Laos by a Future mid-fielder – it happened too fast to see who it was but it may have just cost Future a penalty. We have a penalty and a yellow card for Future's mid-fielder Cambell. Captain Richardson does not look happy. Laos stalks the ball, and GOAL! We are now equal to Future and I didn't think Richardson could look angrier after that last goal but ladies and gentlemen I am happy to announce – he does. Two Goals in five minutes ladies and gentlemen. I am happy to announce that we are now officially back in the game.
Two minutes on the clock. Richardson again slithers past Navér and steals the ball. Passes to Cambell, Laos has his revenge and snatches the ball, passes to Garcia then back to Laos. Davis! And Harvey Milkers The Braves are now winning 3-2 with 30 seconds on the clock to spare. And I can't believe it another fail by Cambell and the ref has awarded another penalty to The Braves. Captain Tom Smith is taking it. And GOAL! I do not believe it ladies and gentlemen this is a real Cinderella story. The Braves who didn't even qualify in the league until this year have now won the Cup scoring their last goal in literally the last ten seconds. This has been one truly amazing match and I am Logan Cooper and am officially signing off to go and celebrate with the team."
