If someone told Yuuri Katsuki that he'd end up getting married and settling down with Viktor Nikiforov, he would have never believed it.

The Russian was a legendary figure skater admired by millions of fans around the world. Why would he even consider meeting a relatively new and inexperienced skater from a small island in Japan, let alone marry him? Yuuri did not even feel worthy being on the same ice as Viktor, even though it was his greatest dream.

He had lost his chance to meet him after he messed up his first Grand Prix Finals. Yuuri could barely talk to anyone at the banquet, much less Viktor.

The man was unreachable and untouchable to Yuuri. How could he ever be anywhere near his idol? How could he ever be anything to him?

And yet, here he was a few years later, sharing the same bed and snuggled up to Viktor as the morning light reflected on their matching gold rings.

Who would have thought this was going to happen?

Definitely not Yuuri.

Still, who was he to complain about having the unexpected become his reality? (Even if it all began with him having too much to drink one night.)
