Christmastime (Oh Yeah)

Now that all the snow has fallen
It's crunching below my feet
It's an exponentially hot day in Suna, especially for December. Gaara is walking down the street wishing for just a moment that it would finally snow at Christmas.
And all the Christmas lights are shining
On houses up and down my street
People seem to be in the Christmas spirit. Do they even know what Christmas is? Then again, did Gaara even know what Christmas is?
And I can see the happy families inside
If only for a moment, It's Christmastime
Gaara, for once in his life, felt somewhat happy. Smiles creeping up on his face as children run down the streets, laughing and chasing eachother

think I see the children down the street
Here they come
caroling
Now we can hear them, they sing "Oh yeah"
Gaara didn't even know that there were carolers in Suna. He also didn't know that Kankuro and his daughter were amongst them. He had so much to learn.
Mr. Johnson bought a Christmas tree
He set it up, with his family
Gaara slowly peered into one of the house's windows as he walked by. A little girl and her brother were handing their father ornaments for the Christmas tree. Gaara desperately wished he was that boy.
They're opening their presents big and small
Mr. Johnson got a big brown bowling ball
Gaara never remembered getting any presents. He wondered if he would if his mother was alive. He wished he could spend Christmas with someone.
Sally got a pair of brand new skates
And Jimmy got a box frosty flakes
He wanted so many things. At the top of his list was probably to be accepted. Next was to escape his life. And the third thing was to be loved and to feel love.
He knows that there's a special little prize inside
Whatta happy moment, it's Christmastime
He worked up the nerve to knock on Temari's door and ask if he could come in. Of course she let him and offered him something to eat. She also mentioned that she had been making cookies. Gaara asked for one.
The
carolers are standing in line
they sing, "Oh yeah"
As he bit into the cookie Kankuro walked in and sat next to Gaara at the table. Temari was next to sit down and they each took a cookie. Gaara smiled to himself. He had never felt so good.
