Slow growled as he, once again, moved his bangs to the side of his face. His bangs always blocked his vision and whenever they were cut, they seemed to grow back to their original length the next day.

He hated his hair.

He wanted short hair like Service, but his hair just had to be long.

Looking into the living room mirror, Slow tried to get his bangs to stay to the side. It seemed to work for a moment before they slipped back into his eyes.

Slow gently hit his forehead against the mirror and groaned. "Why can't I be bald like Regula?"

He heard Machi walk into the room and her footsteps stopped. "Slow? What's wrong?" she asked.

He frowned. "I can't stand my stupid bangs."

She walked up to him and placed a hand on his head, moving his bangs to the side with her fingers. "I think I can help. Wait here."

The energetic dôji watched her walk into the bathroom and heard her rummage through the cabinet. He was starting to believe that she was getting her electric shaver to fulfill his wish, and he didn't like that thought one bit.

"Here it is," Machi said as she walked back into the living room, a comb and barrette in her right hand. The barrette was covered by an orange, glass-like accessory, the color almost matching his visor.

"Okay, turn and face the mirror," the woman instructed as she stood behind him.

Slow did as he was told, albeit hesitantly. "How is this going to help me?"

"I haven't started yet, Slow."

She parted his hair down the middle of his head, making sure to be gentle on the tangles.

Slow watched his master and tilted his head when she pulled his bangs out of his eyes. "What are you doing, Machi-san?"

"Pinning your bangs back," Machi replied and opened the barrette. She slipped it onto his bangs, pushing it back through his hair, and closed it.

A few strands of hair fell out near the middle of his forehead and she smiled. "All done. Now, I have to go get some supplies. Stay out of trouble, okay?"

"Thanks, Machi-san," Slow said as he looked back at her.

She smirked down at him as she put her coat on, leaving the apartment.

Looking back at the mirror, Slow adjusted his new barrette and smiled.
