"Oishi! Hey, wait up!" Eiji said, doing a cartwheel and then running up to the vice-captain.
"Show-off" Oishi said with a smile.
"Don't be jealous. Hey we should go celebrate, we won another match today, partner! I say we go to taka-san's restaurant, I want sushi tonight"
"and let me guess, you're broke…" Oishi said.
"you know me too well"
"Alright, lets go then"
"then what are we waiting for? The others are waiting!"
"Wait, you guys planned this without me?!"
"oh come on! We always go there when we win, and besides, we knew you would say yes. You're way too nice, Oishi"
"I know, I know"
So they ran to taka-san's restaurant… although the bus would have been easier…
"Remind me why we ran all the way here?" Oishi said, panting like crazy.
"Oh, come on it wasn't that bad." Eiji said, looking like he just went to a walk in a park.
"You're crazy"
"I know, but that's what makes me, me!" he said. "come on, I'm starving"
And of course, he went in and right away, he started nagging people for food.
"Momo-chan stop hogging it all!" he complained. "You too ochibi!"
"Want some of mine?" Fuji asked.
"N-no thanks…" he said, remembering the incident from before.
Oishi just laughed, amused at how immature he could be. "here, take mine, I'm not hungry anyways"
"THANK YOU, OISHI!" Eiji said, practically jumping on him, then grabbing his plate. Everyone laughed.
(later on in the evening)
"Hey, Oishi, wait up!" Eiji said, running up to him again.
"Why do you always leave so early?" he asked
"Why do you always leave so late?" he replied back.
"I didn't leave late! Taka-san is still there"
"……Eiji… it's his restaurant"
"so?"
"never mind." after that, they walked in silence for a while.
"Hey…" they both said at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed.
"we have to stop doing that." Oishi said.
"why? I mean we are Seigaku's golden pair"
"true… but still. Anyway, what were you going to say?"
"no, its okay you go first"
"……at the same time?" they said.
"…..thanks… for everything." they looked up at each other again. They said it at the same time, it was like they had rehearsed it!
"lets… make a promise…" Oishi began.
"…to always be there for each other…" Eiji said
"No matter what." both completing the sentence.
"yea…" shaking hands, they agreed.
"SO watch out world! The golden pair is coming for ya!" Eiji said, shouting to the sky.
"Eiji, (sweat drop) lets win the nationals first, okay"
"fine fine, is it so wrong to have a big dream?"
Oishi smiled. "no, not at all."
