This is the first scene from The Last Naruto movie, so it may contain spoilers.

Theme 1. Introduction

She still remembers the day she met him.

It is winter, the air is frigid and her breaths are coming out in quick puffs of white as she struggles to gulp down her tears.

She is a Hyuuga – unmovable, unyielding and strong – should not be showing signs of weakness, as she has often been drummed.

(but she is also just a five year old girl who sometimes secretly wishes she was not burdened with this heavy name)

Tears escape, the boys smirk and attack with taunts, causing her to withdraw more into her shell – and then he appears – with his false bravado, hair and eyes vivid shades of colours in stark contrast to the snow.

He is weak (like her). And only the strong can survive, the weak accept their fate, as she has been taught relentlessly like a mantra. But he gets up again and again, and fights tooth and nail, with a wide manic grin plastered on his face, red scarf unfurling in the wind, and she thinks that she has never seen anything like this.

(and she thinks she wants to see more, because he somehow defies everything that she has been taught and it gives her more hope like nothing before)

He is an Uzumaki – unpredictable, unknown and notorious – a whirlwind of an existence, and afterwards when she is clutching his tattered scarf and staring at his quickly disappearing back, she feels something spark inside her.

Curiosity, determination, and the possibility of becoming a new kind of strong (like him).

I've been itching to do some writing for a while, especially after Naruto ended and watching The Last movie. So I've come back to ff with a collection of drabbles! The themes are from deviantart (I'll leave a link in my profile). They'll be mostly NH centric, but some will be centered around other characters. Maybe. Probably. We'll see how this goes.
