~ ~ Chapter 1 ~ ~

Callaway walked out from the edge of the forest. Following him in his gang were Jaha (Dwarf) the Warrior, Chester (Centaur) the Paladin, Sarah (Elf) the Master Monk, Kazin (Elf) the Mage, Slade (Giant Rat) the Ninja, Peter (Phoenix) the Phoenix, May (Centaur) the Ranger, Tarin (Half-Elf) the mage, and Gerhalt (Wolfman) the Wolf Baron. Callaway (Human) himself was a Swordsman, and he was the leader of the group.

"Look ahead, a Pegasus!" commented Jaha.

"I'll take him, from back here, with my Steel Arrow," said May.

May shot the arrow at the Pegasus, striking it hard in the back of it's wing. It started flying forward, and a Hell Hound came running from the woods too.

"Dang, I hate those things!" shouted Slade, "But I'll still be able to take it out.

The Hell Hound came running in at the group, but Slade flipped out in front of everybody, and struck the hound with his Steel Sword. The Hell Hound doubled up in pain, and Peter flew in for the finishing blow. As Peter flew in, the Pegasus knocked Peter out cold, then started to attack Slade.

"I call upon Atlus!" shouted Tarin, and just then and there, a huge hand came from the sky and hit the Pegasus. The Pegasus lied on the ground, without movement .

There are probably more behind those woods over there, let's go check," commented Callaway.

The group stuck closely together, and walked through the forest. On the other side were two Golems, and an Artillery.

"I'll can take out one of those Golems with my Ice2 Spell," said Karin.

"The Artillery will be no match for my sword skills!" chuckled Callaway.

Slade started to say something, but the Golem heard him, and stated chasing him down. Slade used his sword on the Golem, but the Golem curled up into a ball, and hurtled itself at him, knocking him out cold.

"Time for a little magic!" commented Sarah. She walked over to Slade, and her hands started to glow a funny blue color. She touched Slade with her hands, and Slade regained enough energy to get up, and help fight some more.

Every time Callaway tried to get close to the Artillery, it fired at him. Avoiding the blows was hard enough, then trying to hit it, made it very difficult. Finally, the Artillery's shot made contact with Callaway, and blasted him back.

A Wizard, two Hell Hounds, and three Pegasus came from the call of the Artillery.

"Damn, we aren't gonna go to far today." commented Slade.

Both Hell Hounds charged at the limp Callaway knowing he was the leader.

"I summon Neptune!" chanted Tarin.

A mighty image formed in front of the group. He was holding a trident, and rain started to pelt the enemy. Then came chunks of hail when Neptune raised his Trident.

Both Hell Hounds were knocked out cold, and the image faded away. Lightning started to show in the sky, and the Wizard's staff glowed an eerie yellow color. This started to massacre the group, and they barely could hold on until Gerhalt, jumped on the wizard, and tore him up to pieces.

"Howoooooollll!!" howled Gerhalt.

Riding on one of the Pegasus's back was another Wizard, and on the other was a Skeleton. The group knew this battle would be too tough for them, so they lifted Callaway up, and wispered something in his ear.

"Egress," chanted Callaway before he went out cold.

There they were, back in Sandhuven town, in the priest's church. What was going to happen next?
