I used the following facts from part 1 to gauge Naruto's inborn skills, master a B-rank kinjutsu in a night, mastered tree climbing at the same time as sasuke despite having at least 8 times more chakra than sasuke(Naruto=4 times Kakashi, kakashi=2 times sasuke), and he managed to master different stages of the rasengan with shortcuts alone, all that without clones. in part 2, Naruto used fuinjutsu like he was a natural when changing kyubi's seal. "Now remember, this is going to be a spar to test your capabilities." Jiraiya said as he eyed Naruto.
"Are you sure Ero-sennin? You aren't fully healed yet." Naruto was concerned. three days ago, he had failed to hold his conscious with the kyubi's chakra and went berserk in four tails version 2 mode. While Jiraiya succeeded in suppressing the kyubi's chakra, it was not without grievous injuries.
"What are talking about? I've fought powerful opponent in much worse conditions, I don't even need to take you serious at all." The pervert said with a boisterous laugh which aggravated Naruto as expected. Jiraiya had deemed the kyubi's chakra as too much for Naruto at the moment due to severe lack in almost everything. The purpose of the spar was for Jiraiya to establish any other weaknesses before they began their training.
"Tch! Shadow clone jutsu!" Naruto created clones as they moved in to attack Jiraiya while he attempted to blend with the others. From the beginning of the spar, Jiraiya constantly dispatched the clones with ease and evading any of Naruto's cunning and witty attempts. Just like he predicted, Naruto's Taijutsu skills were extremely lacking, unpredictability was advantageous but the boy lacked the basics. Naruto also showed the lack of finesse in using clones tactically and generally didn't know much about the clones' abilities in general. Poor chakra control and usage, lack in genjutsu skills whatsoever and couldn't use chakra effectively to augment his physical capabilities. Naruto lacked most of the most basic knowledge taught even in the academy.
'We've wasted 7 months trying to master the kyubi's chakra, and now that I decided to improve your skills, I only see so much to fix that it baffles me how he reached this far.' Initially, he had assumed Naruto wasn't gifted at all and would show much skills from what he knew, but when he recalled how Naruto had managed to master the rasengan in a short time by figuring things out himself, 'This boy never received attention and never had the motivation to study in the academy, but his innate intellect is still impressive, with shadow clones and two years, his skills will improve by leaps and bounds if he diligently trains and if I can get him to actually study book related materials then it'd be even better in improving his own mentality.'
Eyeing the blonde boy infront of him who had a dumb expression on his face, Jiraiya found the best thing he could use, it wouldn't affect much but it was the best thing that could motivate Naruto.
"Alright sit down." He motioned Naruto to do so as he did as well in a crossed legs position. "Now, I will begin with your chakra and chakra control. You like you don't know the advantages of both those things. All of the fastest shinobi in history and power monsters like Tsunade-hime, all those are with the help of great chakra control. You learned water walking but by your expression I'm going to assume you never used the skill much aside from just walking on water. This is undoubtedly where everyone keeps surpassing you" Naruto was embarrassed at not knowing that. This might also explain how Sasuke seemed faster after learning tree walking, and how Lee got stronger and faster after opening gates and also, how Sasuke grew more faster to match Lee in just one month.
"Is that why I get faster and stronger when I use kyubi's chakra?" Realization dawned on Naruto
"Partly. When you activate the kyubi's chakra, it actively floods your entire body and no control is needed but you seem to drown yourself in instincts. But if you can actively control your chakra, you would be even more faster and stronger, so much of your training will involve chakra control. Taijutsu is what we will also train, you have horrible basics but you will have to keep your unpredictable card, we will focus on training you on grappling and striking, meaning how and when to punch, kick, parry, block, joint locks and submission holds, and we'll cover bukijutsu as well. Genjutsu will involve detection and breaking free, its impossible for you to attempt genjutsu. We will use your shadow clones for all this training but the real you will focus more on the physical training." Before he could continue, Naruto cut him off in surprise.
"How the hell are clones going to help me?" 2 years, the time Naruto stayed with clones and didn't notice anything more about them.
"Listen brat, this is why I always want you to remember from now on that information is important, If you had read the entire explanation on the shadow clone jutsu, you'd have known that once they dispel, the memories return." And to his utter frustration, Naruto seemed oblivious and confused still. "Alright create a clone now and have him come here to me."
Naruto created a clone which approached Jiraiya who secretly whispered something to him and punched him in the face dispelling the clone. Naruto who initially didn't hear anything received memories of the clone and sudden realization dawn on him. "I"M NOT AN IDIOT YOU OLD PERVERT"
"Good, so this is why clones are good for information gathering. We will use clones for your chakra control exercise and in other non physical related matters. After we finish your training in one on one fighting, I will begin teaching you how to use clones in your taijutsu collaboration. How much do you hate writing and reading Naruto?" Jiraiya asked Naruto, what he wanted to say might make Naruto mad but he was prepared to shoulder the hate.
"I don't like it at all, Too many useless things." It was answered in a stubborn way that implied not to change it so, and Jiraiya expected as such thus decided to throw the ultimatum.
"Then listen carefully. I will be breaking Sarutobi sensei's law but If you could pass a test of everything I will teach you in these remaining two years, including piles of books on the boring academic things like literacy and comprehension, science, survival, geography and history, infiltration, shinobi codes and protocols, politics and basic tactics and strategy, as well as Fuinjutsu, then I will tell you about your parents."
When Naruto heard all the listed thing he was initially growing paler and paler until the moment he heard parents and your in the last words Jiraiya uttered and his world went still as a myriad of emotions went through him. Anger, betrayal, hurt and pain shadow all.
"You knew my parents." tears glistened in Naruto's eyes as he couldn't believe 14 years he lived and no one told him about it. "Why?" All the years Naruto had spent alone, wondering if his parents had abonded him after offering him to the yondaime.
"They died in the kyubi attack protecting you. The reason Sensei didn't tell you is because they were strong and had enemies who would kill you and you were too young and immature to possess that knowledge until you are a chunin. I might be stepping toes but if you finish this training in two years, you would be smart enough to understand." Jiraiya kept a straight face as he watched his godson cry tears of pain, it tore him so much to know that the boy suffered in his absence and even after he still never actively did much to make up for it.
"I deserved to know!" Naruto shouted in anger as his eyes turned red from Kyubi's chakra. Seeing the boy's unstability, Jiraiya quickly got up, kneeled infront of him and hugged him in attempt to calm the boy.
"I'm sorry Naruto, but I will fix all that I can now. It might seem late but I will make you a shinobi they dreamt will surpass them one day. Can you muscle up 2 years to prove you're mature enough?" Naruto calmed down a little as his eyes reverted to normal. As Jiraiya predicted, the promise of information was Naruto's flame and fuel to his determination. But this savior will be unlike the one they expected and by gaining knowledge, Naruto will open his eyes to the thing he tolerated due to naivety and those he never took note of will be open to his eyes, Jiraiya had opened a door with endless possibilities, how much will Naruto change?
Konoha.
Shizuru entered the Hokage office with a bundle of books in her arms, within the office sat the Godaime hokage, Tsunade and a red toad, Kosuke, perched on the desk.
"Whether its a game or not, tell Jiraiya I expect quite noticeable results. If Naruto is still a dunderhead, then he might actually loose his life this time." Tsunade said to the toad as it took the plastic wrapped books and swallowed them.
"Okay, is there anything else?" The toad asked to which Tsunade assured she had written everything in the scroll. The toad bid farewell and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"I still don't understand why after 7 months did he decide it actually time to start training him on these thing when he should've done so from the very beginning." Tsunade said in an irritated voice as she tried to secretly tried to sip sake only for Shizuru to confisicate yet another of her bottle.
"You still have work Tsunade-sama. And both Jiraiya-sama and Naruto are just boys, its natural for them to realise things later than necessary." Shizune said as she left Tsunade's office.
'It took 7 months for him to figure that Naruto lacks a better foundation, I honestly don't think they'll make that much of a progress in 2 years considering how Naruto seems to hate anything written much less complicated things. Oh well, I also have a fangirl to train, I really hope Naruto realizes he's wasting his time on her, she doesn't seem to even notice him.' Tsunade thought as she continued with her paper work, she honestly didn't like this work at all.
Jiraiya and Naruto, training begins.
Infront of Jiraiya stood an army of about hundreds Naruto clones. Each of them obediently waiting for their assigned works.
"I want 27 clones to step forward, each of you will take a book here..." he motioned to a pile of 27 books which were brought by Kosuke, "There are 9 different books with 3 copies each, we are using fewer clones to avoid differences in each subject. Group 1, literature and comprehension, documents and texts as well as your lack of overall social understanding will be focused here. Group 2, science which will cover poison, health and anatomy, mechanics, etc. Group 3 Geography will involve terrain study and other natural phenomena. Group 4, Survival will include tips in surviving on any situation, poisonous and edible plants and animals. Group 5, Basic shinobi concepts, infiltration, torture, protocols and codes. Group 6, politics, all the political shenanigans with daimyos and kages as well as the entire continents and its relations. Group 7, Konoha history, you will read from the clan era until the current one. Group 8, Basic tactics and strategy in fights and war. Group 9, Chakra concepts, chakra composition, usage and different natures explained."
As Jiraiya mentioned each group, they went and picked up the books until all were taken, "All these are the same things you were taught in the academy, I want all of you to deal with one chapter for a day and read it thoroughly, by the end of the day you will dispel yourselves one group at a time, disperse!" The twenty seven clones all left to begin their work.
Jiraiya motioned for the pile of stacked scrolls. "I want twenty clones on that pile. All those scrolls are identical and the information wont result in much diverse understanding, this scroll include a lot of Kanji for fuinjutsu, you will memorise them and their descriptions as well as practicing how to neatly and precisely write them. I teach all of my students fuinjutsu, if you have knack for it then we will continue." 'And I doubt you don't with both your parents exceling on it' While 20 of Naruto's clones picked the scrolls, Jiraiya created a clone that guided them to the other 27, when the Naruto clones watched Jiraiya's in question, he simply answered, "If there is any concept that any of you need an explanation on, I will be there to help."
Jiraiya looked at the hundreds clones remaining. Naruto had already learned tree walking and water walking but his chakra control was still shitty. It was fortunate that he had the rasengan as the jutsu mainly involved chakra control. Most shinobi naturally improved their chakra control after water walking but to Naruto, it was still not enough.
"The remaining clones will focus on chakra control. So your training will involve the following steps, one, you need to be able to summon the rasengan with one hand only and being able to use it with your left hand too, two, creating a rasengan almost instantly and lastly, creating a bigger rasengan instantly. After you manage that your chakra control will improve greatly, after that, do you remember the time Tsunade-hime poisoned me?" Jiraiya asked a little too excitedly.
"Yeah, she messed up with your body right?" Naruto asked while an unease and Deja-vu feeling appeared in his heart.
"Yes, hehehe, will use that idea to mess up with your chakra like how Orochimaru did, you will have to use all the experience you've gained to attain the same level of chakra control before I return it to normal, this will be important if someone messes up with your chakra control making you abled to adjust fast. Same goes to the nervous system mess up, we will do that much later though." And it would be something that Naruto will never forget.
"Are you really training me or torturing me? the happy smile tells me its more of the latter."
"Are you scared already and its not even one day?"
"Of course not, I'll bag this training like its nothing, believe it!" It was all the bravado he could muster but the uneasiness never went away, and the smirking Jiraiya wasn't making things any better.
"Well, let the clones start their practice while we discuss your physical training." Jiraiya said he and the original left to another location further away. "There is a difference between being a prodigy at something and having great affinity and aptitude for the same thing. A good example is if you take you and Sasuke. While Sasuke is a prodigy in learning ninjutsu, you have the physical and chakra advantages to be greater at it than him. You have great stamina and endurance, a good trait in any shinobi, if you noticed Guy and his student Lee, they have to increase their stamina and endurance through harsh training but you already have that Naturally. So, in our taijutsu training, we will have intense workouts as a warmup then we begin working on your basics and stances."
Harsh physical training was not something Naruto was unused to, he was confident he could handle anything thrown at him.
"We will use some weights on your wrists, torso and legs to increase your overall speed but every end of the week, you will take them off and get used to the speed. This isn't training to make you a strong or excellent shinobi, this is training to make you strong enough to fend off the Akatsuki, Bear that in mind as train hard." Jiraiya said as he unsealed some weights from one of his scroll and proceeded to strap them on Naruto.
"These things are slightly heavy, will I reach a level of having weights as strong as Lee's?" Naruto asked excitedly.
"Unless your that crazy, I don't see that happening. We wont be focusing on weights that much but you will learn how to harness chakra and improve your speed and strength instead, with your chakra levels, I don't think even they will match you even if they open gates." Jiraiya said nonchalantly
"That's impossible, when Lee opened gates, he was super fast and super strong, I don't think even chakra can do that much." Naruto stated in near fanaticism, he wouldn't mind learning how to open gates.
"Brat, opening gates is just a way of gaining access to more chakra, they train their endurance to handle the massive flux of chakra and even then, you possess more chakra than they do. It would also be pointless to teach you about gates considering you have so much chakra you never use to begin with, when we finish training, you can go and challenge the boy to see how much far you've gotten if you doubt my word." Jiraiya said as he looked around their surroundings.
"So what do we start with? Push ups? squats?" Naruto asked in excitement.
"Nah, I want you to run at full speed without chakra around that lake 10 times, and after that you will swim acoss it 5 rounds and then we will follow up with the push ups, squats, crunches, and so on." Naruto watched the size of the lake and he almost cried at how big it was. The lake was about 15km wide, he could think quite clearly how and when he'll finish it.
"You are coming with me right?" Naruto asked nervously hoping for at least some company but all he got was a whistling Jiraiya and an answer he didn't like at all.
"I'm still recuperating and definitely not the one tort...er..trained, yeah trained. Anyway, you better start now, before noon arrives, and piece of advice, open your heart to it and it will flow, don't view yourself as a human being but an enslaved bug and it will go without a hitch." Yap, Naruto would without a doubt suffer for these two years.
7 hours later, an exhausted Naruto flopped down in exhaustion, the weights were a major nuisance and after the 'warmup' he felt like the muscles in his body tore up and could smell the faint trace of blood in his sweat, the pervert had given him a five minute break before they begin working on his stance. Apparently, his meals are only at night as a way of building his endurance more.
"Alright time's up, get up!" And Jiraiya was enjoying this more than necessary.
"No way Ero-sennin, five minutes aren't up yet." Yes he was getting petty but no one should fault him.
"Of course they are, now get up, were starting with stricking opponents and grappling." Jiraiya went on as Naruto got up from his sleeping position in a sluggish manner, "Now tell me what part do we use for striking opponents."
"Well there's arms, elbows, knee, legs and head." Naruto answered while grumbling.
"Not quite, any part of your body can be used, fists, palms, hands, elbows, head, shoulder, knee, shin, heel, and we'll cover each of those, but also a major weakness in your taijutsu is that you use too much wide blows which leave you wide open and you put too much power and momentum in your attacks which is why we will deal much with your grappling, fighting close quarters. Now lets begin." And so Naruto Uzumaki started training.
It was night by the time Jiraiya entered the small cabin they live in located in a secluded valley. Behind his back was an exhausted dozing Naruto, after placing on the futon, he sat besides him as he immersed himself deep in thoughts. Even Jiraiya was impressed by how Naruto adopted to his taijutsu training. If today's training was any indication, then within just one year, Naruto would be strong enough to easily fight even experienced Jonin. He would actually have to request A and S rank missions so he could supervise Naruto on them and increase the brat's experience on the field.
Jiraiya frowned, 'physical growth aside, from my clones memories, Naruto learned everything at a fast pace and even though they were basics, the clones easily breezed through even more chapters than necessary without even once asking for help from me. And when I tried to quiz them, they answered correctly.' While he could chuck it up to Naruto's drive and desire to know his parents name, Jiraiya suspects that it was the lack of supervision and guide that Naruto didn't put interest in his academics and it was showing later. It would take a while but Jiraiya will fix it. Drawing blood from his finger, Jiraiya performed a set of hand seals before slamming his hand on the ground.
"Summoning Jutsu!" A puff of smoke appeared along with Kosuke.
"Jiraiya-sama, Is there anything I could help with?"
"Yeah, can you go back to Konoha and inform the Hokage that we need the advanced versions of every book on the subjects you previously brought, genin, chunin and jonin level, Naruto seems to have completed the academy level ones. In two days I will summon you if that's okay with?" Jiraiya asked as he handed a pack of treats to the red frog.
"No problem, I'll be on my way now." The frog said as it left through the window, leaving Jiraiya who awakened Naruto to eat dinner.
One month later,
Today was one of the few days in a week in which Naruto spars with Jiraiya without weights and could use chakra to boost himself. Despite being taller than Naruto, Jiraiya easily fends off Naruto's extremely close ranged attacks. The boy had taken Jiraiya's teaching to heart and avoided wide attacks and stuck to short speedy attacks. The attacts seemed to lack much power when Jiraiya blocked them but it was mostly due inexperience.
What impressed Jiraiya was just how strong Naruto improved in one month, the boy was utilizing chakra and he showed great adaptability.
Jiraiya jumped back as Naruto attempted a sweep on his side only to follow up with a jump and a kick to the face which was deflected. A punch from Jiraiya made Naruto parry it downwards and vaulting himself upwards for an aerial kick to the head only to be caught and thrown away.
The spar went on for the entire day with Naruto exerting himself to fight against Jiraiya who easily blocked and deflected his attacks while throwing out his own which Naruto bearly countered.
Within one month, Naruto had managed to learn all academy, genin and most of the chunin related material, his chakra control from approximately more than 6 years of training experience from the clones which enabled him summon the rasengan almost instantly in both hands and could now perform the oodama rasengan unaided. All this in one month courtesy of the shadow clones. Naruto also grew adept in fuinjutsu, learning fuinjutsu was not associated with intelligence but creativity, and Naruto was well verse in that aspect. The boy had read all about the standard Kanji and the had shown great understanding on fuinjutsu formula arrays and formations. They had already began learning on how to create explosive tags and sealing tags and scrolls.
"Well, it seems you already have chakra control down the pat, so we'll be using this now." Jiraiya said as he showed Naruto a sealing tag.
"A disruption seal?"
"Yup, its amazing how much you grow in a month that it worries me, after all, with the pace your going with, It wont be long before we start doing more serious things." Indeed, in just one more month, Naruto will have completed the theory training and while chakra control might take a lot longer with the chakra disrupting seal, it wouldn't affect much of his overall skills, Naruto's taijutsu was superb and his fuinjutsu skills were going fast as expected of an Uzumaki. Jiraiya was confident that within the next month, they will begin training on genjutsu detection, bukijutsu, elemental transformation, advanced frog summoning techniques and more advanced fuinjutsu.
"Does this mean I can take the test a lot earlier?" Naruto asked hopefully. Jiraiya wouldn't be lying if he said he didn't think of that himself, Naruto soacked a lot of things earlier but Jiraiya still had yet to expose Naruto to the dark world of shinobi, he planed to take that step after a year but it would seem that the trips will begin 9 month earlier.
"I'll be the judge of that. Now lift your shirt, while I may not be good with incorporating seals, a chakra disruption wont be that hard." He said as he placed a piece of paper directly above Naruto's seal. After channeling the chakra, Naruto watched in fascination as the seal on the paper lit up before phasing through the paper and land on Naruto's own seal before disappearing without a trace.
It didn't take long for Naruto to feel the effects of seal as his chakra control went haywire.
"So why don't people use this to counter genjutsu. I mean isn't genjutsu countered by just doing so?" Truly puzzling. From little he knew about fuinjutsu, the art seemed versatile and quite helpful but he cant understand why its not used at all except for explosive tags and sealing scrolls.
"Well, the art of fuinjutsu is a pretty mysterious art, even I with the title of master on sometimes feel a little ignorant when it comes to some of the complex seals I've seen in my life. But even I don't use this in genjutsu for many reasons like why should I when the only time I need to activate it is when I'm in a genjutsu and I can easily dispel them without needing to pump chakra into a seal, also this seal isn't really perfected for such use yet, with a slight mistake, fuinjutsu can easily end you in the midst of a fight, imagine accidentally getting hit in that seal or accidentally activating it, the slight mistake in battle could very well be your end. Very few could attempt to use fuinjutsu in a fight and even then, its used as a last resort." Everything Jiraiya said made sense to Naruto but he knew that with enough preparation, fuinjutsu can be used even in a fight, all he needed is a deep understanding of it.

NIRVANA: I will say this once, no romance for the duration of the two years trip, the genre will be after the trip and I'm still mapping out the plot for that and the pairing, no yaoi, no OC as a major character throughout the story and NO NARUSASU BROMANCE.
SLAYER: just wanted to say that don't worry about the update to my story "Asura's last reincarnation", I am redoing it completely and the chapters plus continuation will be posted within this month at least.
