Hetalia: Just a Phone Call Away
It was a sunny day, but a slight crisp hung in the air. It was mid-morning, the day was Sunday, and everything was peaceful.
Germany was sitting outside at a small table in his garden. He appreciated days like this (as rare as they were) and it felt like all of his stress was slowly vanishing. He brought a mug of hot cocoa to his lips and took a small sip as the steam omitting from the dark liquid warmed his red-nosed face. He had on a zip-up sweater, aware that by late afternoon the crispness would transfer into a warm, even more pleasant, day.
But the best part of all of this was that a certain loud-mouthed someone with brown hair and an abnormal love of pasta (and who was also unknowingly the cause of all of Germany's misfortune) was not there.
"Thank the Furuir," Germany mumbled under his breath. He didn't really dislike Italy, but it was a rare occasion that he could spend taking care of himself without the worries of 'baby-sitting' the clueless Italian.
For some reason, Germany realized that the thought of Italy remained present in his mind and he couldn't shake it. He even bothers me when he's not here, Germany thought as he reluctantly called to mind that ignorant smile of Italy's on his cherry face. Italy was like a little brother to him, or even a pestering debt collector. No matter what he did, Italy was always hot on his trail. And unfortunately, Germany was the only one plagued with this Italian infestation.
Italy had left the previous day to go back home, but Germany had not received any news or a phone call which usually occurred after only a few hours of absence. He suspected that Italy had not made it to his destination, or that he was in jail for harassing a nice, young woman, or even neglecting a bill from a restaurant. He had no clue what was happening. But most importantly, he wanted to know when Italy planned on returning.
Germany sighed. "what a Dummkolp..." He would have to check up on him.
Wow. I haven't written anything for a while. This will be a two-chapter story that I will update soon.
