Love letter from Thief X

A short Riki Yanase drabble

I was heading to LRN after a long day at work, there was an unusually large crowd in the museum today, with the new exhibition of foreign art pieces. Both mentally drained and physically tired, I made my way slowly to boss' bar for my usual must-have delicacy, pork noodles, to which both Takuto and I shared an uncanny love for.

"Hello!" I greeted cheerfully, the sight of the usual gang instantly lifted my spirit. However at a more careful look, my boyfriend was not there, missing from the usual spot in the group. "Oh.." My face fell, I haven't seen Riki in what seems like a long time, he was always busy with work especially now that there is a global economic crisis. It has probably been two weeks since we had time for each other, Riki had not even turn up for dinners at LRN altogether. "Howdy MC!" Hiro came over and patted my back gingerly, seeming to catch onto my mood, "We are here for you too~" "…Nasty." Takuto glanced at me before blushing to acknowledge my presence. "Let us all eat together now then, shall we, MC?" Kenshi smiled. Now that I realized it, everyone have not touched their food yet, all of them were actually waiting for me. My heart warmed and I nodded immediately, glad to have the Black Foxes with me now, a reliable group of friends, even though our first meeting was less than desirable.

"… and that's how I managed to get to class on time!" Hiro was telling us his story with vigor, lifting the mood with his cheery antics. "I wouldn't be surprise at all if you actually got expelled for good." Takuto smirked, amused by how Hiro had actually succeeded in seducing his female teacher. "Don't curse me!" Hiro pouted at Takuto's remark. "You should get a girlfriend soon, Hiro. You are not safe for any woman of any ages around you." Kenshi joked, "You might end up being all alone like boss, you know." "Hey!" Boss shot all of us an indignant glare at the mention of his name, "I am not alone, my other half is coming soon… probably..." He muttered to himself as he washes the plates behind the sink, all of us laughing at Boss' reaction.

"I would have gone after MC though, well I should, shouldn't I? Now that Riki is not here~hehehe." Hiro winked at me. "Uh.." I blinked at him, surprised by the sudden turn of the conversation. "Ahem." Someone coughed, a familiar deep husky voice rang out, "What did you say, you punk?" Riki appeared at the entrance of the bar, walking over to our booth as he continued staring at Hiro. "Hehehe~ speak of the devil~ oops! Busted!" Hiro smiled sheepishly. "Riki!" I called his name out instinctively, bursting with joy at his sudden appearance. "…MC." Riki murmured my name softly before reaching his hands out for my face, "You have gotten fat." Riki pulled my cheek mischievously. This is certainly not the touching reunion I had expected, "Rik…" I tried to push him away, slightly annoyed, "Ish tis whut yeu sey aft-er.. loong..thime?" My voice came out muffled as I tried to pronounce my words clearly.

"Hehe. I am home," Riki let go of my reddened cheeks as he gently take my face in his hands again, kissing me on my lips passionately. "…Welcome home." I smiled, looking into his warm eyes, as he finally let go of me, loving him with each and every inch of my core.

"Get a room!" Takuto choked on his noodle as he glared at us angrily. "Aww~~ Look at Riki~"Hiro cooed, teasing us and making my face a deeper shade of red. "Well then, should we?" Riki murmured into my ears teasingly, before pecking my forehead gently. "I missed you." He whispered softly.
