The Missing Piece Outtake
It's not finished because when I wrote this when I first started the missing piece I realised that it wouldn't fit into the story correctly so I had to terminate it. It's not very good as one of my first pieces of writing but enjoy and review!
"The Aftermath"
Jake landed in the clearing before me with his large wings carrying him down. I couldn't wait to land so I literally flew down into his open arms, my arms encircled his neck tightly as my wings closed against my back and my face buried itself into his neck.
Quickly I felt his strong arms surround my waist as he hugged me back.
Jake was so tall that my feet hung above the ground and the only thing holding me up were his arms.
I felt myself being spun around in a circle so I giggled happily clinging on tighter.
I never wanted to let go.
My heart felt whole again.
"I missed you so much Al, more than you know." His warm breath tickled my ear sending shivers down my spine.
"I missed you too." My voice was muffled by his shoulder but her heard me, he kissed my forehead and I could feel his smile.
Voices floated to me through my happiness.
When will you tell her? –Angel
Tonight. –Jake
Promise? –Angel
Yes! –Jake
The conversation stopped; what were they talking about?
"Do you want to introduce us to the guy we rescued or what?" Iggy butted in, we slowly untangled ourselves and faced the flock.
"Guys, this is Jacob."
Various hellos, hi's and hey's came from the flock.
"Thanks for coming to get me." Jake rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly.
