"Ah, Miyako Toudaiji, it's good to see you!"
"Likewise, Mr. Meguro."
Meguro is a public prosecutor whose appearance look like he's in the 70s. Miyako comments about this to her best friend, Maron. Apparently, the two detectives are in a meeting for something so spectacular that Miyako doesn't realize that Meguro knows something that she does know.
"Take a seat, Miyako," Meguro said showing Miyako the chair to be seated. She's seated to a table in front of him. That way, he could show her a demonstration.
"Okay, Meguro," said Miyako. "What's the meeting about?"
Meguro goes over to the pocket of his coat. He shows her a picture that looks familiar to her. It is something that she's so gonna be shocked off.
"It's a picture of me and Maron. What is that supposed to mean?"
Meguro makes a smile on his face. For his level of intelligence, he is a smart prosecutor who could make any of his cases solvable. Now that he's getting a picture of Maron and Miyako, what does this young man has to say about this?
"I know Maron is Jeanne," replied Meguro. "I presumed you know about this, don't you?"
Miyako gets a shocked look on her face. She knows Maron is Jeanne from the very beginning; therefore she's purposely failed the attempts in catching her in order to be free from working with the police. That way, it would appear that she is too young to go through police work. Now that she's standing at the prosecutor who knows her best friend's secret, she has to tell the truth.
"Yes," she said. "I know about this."
"Just how? And what is your relationship with her?" Meguro asks in a curious manner. "I mean, I know you're failing to catch her on purpose. Why did you have to do that?"
"Here are your answers, Meguro," she takes a deep breath, ready to tell the prosecutor of the truth. "I am her best friend ever since we were at kindergarten. This is how I knew her secret all along. I failed on purpose of catching her is because now I know of it, I tried to get away from it by having the police think I am too young to work with them."
"I see," Meguro said, know fully understanding her. "Now, Miyako, the meeting's over. It's good to see you."
Miyako gets up from her chair and replied, "It's good to see you, too, Meguro."
As he saw her leaving his office, this is one best moment they could ever share.
