Relena Darlian bit her lower lip as she looked at the boy standing in front of her and the disastor that lay across the counter tops.

She had thought that teaching Heero in the ways of baking would have been fun and fairly easy, but somehow a simple task had turned into an experience in itself.

"Heero, I don't understand why this ended up being so difficult. You have no problem piloting a Gundam, riding a horse without proper lessons, hacking into government computers and falling from 20 story buildings, but baking a cake is a chore?"

He huffed and closed his eyes, arms crossing as his batter and flour covered hands dirtied his forearms. He stood unmoving for a few minutes, contemplating the correct response in this situation.

"I was not trained property in how to bake a cake. Your instructions were not very clear either. You should have let me read the recipe myself." His face looked completely serious, even when covered in white powder.

She wasn't quite happy with such a response, which was basically blaming her for his fuck up. At least he was blunt, even if he was completely wrong.

"It isn't my fault you didn't separate the whites when I told you 3 times to do so."

"I was busy trying to put the mixer on the correct speed, do you think I was paying attention to what you were saying?" His annoyance was obvious. They didn't get into many arguments, and Relena wasn't sure if she really felt like getting upset over trying to educate Heero Yuy on how to bake a cake.

"I think..." She stopped, eyes darting to the large stainless steal oven as something began burning her nose. "The cake... it's burning!"

Heero cursed, immediately opening the oven, black smoke escaping as he reached in for whatever still remained of his failed experiment. His shoulders slumped as he threw the charcoal food into the sink, turning the water on high.

"Maybe we should try something easier next time... like cookies." Relena tried her best to pick Heero's spirits up, he really had wanted this to work out well.

"I think it might be best to just let the cook handle this kind of thing. You can try to teach me something different. Maybe something not quite so difficult."

Relena laughed as he being cleaning up his mess. The words of anything being too difficult for Heero Yuy was no something she had ever expected from his mouth.

At least he could still pull off making her delicious scrambled eggs for breakfast.
