Ronnie Bass was in a bad mood. Moving.

Scratch that. Moved. To a completely new school. His only consolation was the fact that his dad was now talking to the coach of the local high school to see if he could get him on the team. It didn't sound good though…

Casually, he picked up a ball and threw it. It flew in a perfect arc and hit his target. He allowed himself a small grin.

"I think we could find a place for him…"- the coach said, slightly stunned. "On a few conditions."

"Sunshine… Sunshine, Sunshiiiiine…"- Ronnie paused in his stroking his missing hair as a boy, Petey, was his name? Teased him.

"Sunshine, huh? That's cool, I can dig it."- he said after a pause. He held out his hand, and after a bit of hesitation Petey returned the friendly gesture.

"Hey, man, meet the guys!"- Petey lead Sunshine over and began naming everyone. He knew most of their names. He had good memory, and easily remembered what the coaches had called them.

He frowned as Petey's arm gestured to a boy he hadn't noticed before. He was tall, and lithe. He had muscle, but rather than the but not the bulky, masculine type, he had the thin, wiry and deceiving type. His face had delicate. That was the only word for it. He had high cheekbones and delicately arched eyebrows. His hair, including the bangs that hid his eyes, was black. A black so dark, the reflected light looked blue.

"That's Silver. 'S real name's Kai…."- Petey trailed off as he struggled to remember the seldom used name.

"My name's Kaishin Black. I don't expect you to pronounce it right. My mom thought she'd be smart and name me a Japanese name."- Silver looked up, and Ronnie nearly gasped. Silver eyes…. He had silver eyes!!

"Nice to meet ya all. I'm Ronnie Bass, also known as…"- he smirked and glanced at Petey. "Sunshine."

After another win Rev took the team out. Ronnie smiled as he followed the Rev out to some diner. His eyes, however, kept tailing Silver. Each game, and every practice, he couldn't help but notice him. He was fast. He was strong, but not as strong as most of the team. He could, however, stick to his man, and tackle the heck out of him if he got the ball. Usually.

Silver's eyes glanced over and Ronnie grinned at him. The grin was returned by a small smile.

They arrived at the diner, one that had a chalkboard in the window that said 'TITANS EAT FREE'

"Hey, Sun,"- Silver had sat next to him and Ronnie's breath caught in his throat. He'd always known he was gay, ever since a certain incident when he was 15. What surprised him was the was that this guy he barely knew was getting such a rise out of him. He didn't even know if he swung that way!

"Sunshine?"- Silver's voice, edged with concern, shook him out of his reverie. "Huh? Oh, sorry Silv, just thinking'"

"Silv?… That's interesting. Nice, but interesting." - a grin was flashed toward him and Ronnie grinned back. A waitress, evidently eager to serve THE Titans, arrived and took their order. Her enthusiasm diminished when she found out how much they were ordering.

"Hey, don't order so much!"- Alan shouted.

"Why not? It's free!" Gerry retorted.

"So! We're gonna clean 'em out!"

Rei: Yeah, I started another fic. Because I fell in love with Remember the Titans. Particularly, Ronnie. The first few times I saw it I didn't think too much of it but then it hit me: Sunshine would make a great character to write about!!

Rath: Review, please….
