Wrote this during Social studies after I finished my assignment. Painfully short, just like everything I write. And no, I totally didn't steal booze out of the legion building… *caugh*.

During the winter wammys it was so cold. Not just the weather, but also the entire atmosphere. Little robots calculating facts and figures and not paying attention too much else.

Then, in the spring things begin to change a little; a smile, or a dropped grade that doesn't seem to mean as much as you thought it did. You could almost feel the restlessness.

Then in the summer everything broke. It seemed strange, yet oddly to be expected that no matter how much you try to turn children into little adults, they'll always be children. Children that scream and laugh and cry and stay close to each other simply because they don't want to be alone anymore. It was the summertime that brought this out. It was like everything was melting. It was the law, otherwise Rodger probably woulden't have allowed it, that the kids got a vacation. And so for 2 and a half months they were normal. The most brilliant minds in the world weren't planning to run country, but plotting the most effective way to sneak into the park building and steal their first few sips of alcohol. Somehow, seemed like that's how it should be.
