Author's Note: This is my first Yugioh story I have ever written. Feedback would be appreciated :3 It'll let me know if I should continue this branch, or stick to Transformers.
He Wasn't
Cold, pale hands gripped his own shower door. It was over; it was finally over.
He was gone. There would be no more control over his abused body; no more invasion of thoughts. He was alone with his mind.
And the pale boy was happy. He wouldn't miss the harsh spirit that took over his mind whenever he wanted.
He tried to ignore the sharp pain his chest.
He wouldn't miss the rough voice in his ear
He was trembling from happiness, not sadness.
His mind was his own; no one else's. Only his.
He was glad there was no one to talk to anymore.
His friends' were not in any danger; He could be trusted.
He was gasping.
No, no. These aren't tears in his eyes. He isn't sad; He should be happy.
No more tears.
No more invasion.
No more fear.
No more Bakura.
So why was he crying?
"Yadanoushi…"
White hair whipped up to stare in shock at his reflection .
You're not here; you're gone. Yugi got rid of you.
His lip was trembling; he wasn't glad it was here.
"Yadanoushi…Look at me!"
He's not here. He's not here. He clenched his eyes closed and tried to ignore the tears that ran down his face.
A hoarse chuckle breathed in his ear.
"Are you sure about that host?"
Ryou gasped.
No, no no! He left me. He's gone. He left me alone and he ruined my life.
"Did I really, landlord?
He did; You did.
Hands gripped the sink tighter; knuckles turned whiter than possible. Eyes flew open to glare at his reflection, only to gasp at what he saw.
Eyes too light.
Hair too soft.
Skin too smooth.
Mouth gasped as he slowly slid to the tile floor.
He really was gone. He really was alone.
Tears slid down his face.
A gasp escaped his throat.
He should be okay with that. He did ruin his life.
"Are you sure about that?"
He wasn't crazy; but it wouldn't hurt to answer.
"Yes." Such a little word, but it made him feel so strong.
"Tell me."
"You made my friends hate me. You took over my body."
Once Ryou started, he couldn't stop.
"You invaded my mind. You hurt me. You made me alone. You made everyone hate me."
He took a breath to calm his slowly simmering rage. "You took my life and made it your twisted game!"
He hated how his eyes filled with tears again.
"I did everything for you, and I'm still alone," Ryou whispered.
He didn't know what to expect, but it definitely was not silence.
"…Are you sure about that landlord?"
Ryou had just enough time to turn around, until warm solid arms pressed him against his chest.
A very real mouth pressed against the side of his jaw, traveling higher, higher, higher!
Until it pressed against his ear.
"I protected you," the smooth voice whispered, "I talked to you. I kept you company. You may have feared me, and I may have hurt you, but you always healed. You were never alone."
Ryou sobbed very quietly.
"How did you come back?"
One question held so much power. Why? How?
And the most important one "Is it only you?"
"Does it matter?"
Ryou supposed it didn't.
