"And you yelled at me?" James asked, looking at Kendall's bare back.
"Shut up. Mine wasn't for Jo, it's for Mom." Kendall rolled his eyes and pulled his shirt back on.
"A mom heart." James shook his head. "You're such a mama's boy." He chuckled.
"Yes I am." Kendall smiled proudly.
"You think Mama Knight isn't going to ground you for two weeks like she did with me?" James crossed his arms.
"I know she will. But I did this for her so hopefully she'll appreciate it." Kendall shrugged.
"Who will appreciate what?" Mrs. Knight asked, entering the apartment with a paper bag in her arms. Kendall sighed and pulled his shirt off again, hissing in pain as the fabric rubbed against the scaring tattoo. Mrs. Knight turned around after setting her purse down and saw her son's tattoo.
The paper bag she was holding hit the floor.
"What did you do?" She asked, stepping over the bag and towards Kendall.
"I got it for you, Mom." Kendall said softly.
Mrs. Knight gently ran her fingers across the tender skin. A red heart with a ribbon around it that just said 'MOM' in cursive letters. She felt emotions welling up inside of her. Her son loved her enough to mark his body for the rest of his life.
"Mama Knight, are you alright?" James asked, wrapping his arm around her.
"Yeah, yeah it's just," She cried, trying to stop her tears long enough to get out a sentence. Kendall pulled his shirt back on and turned to face his mom. "My baby." She cried, reaching for her son.
"I love you, Mom." Kendall said, holding her tightly.
"I love you too." She cried.
"Does this mean I'm not grounded?" Kendall asked.
"No, you're grounded for two weeks. But I still love you." Kendall sighed as his mom cried more.
"Come on, Mama Knight, let's go find Katie so you can love her too." James pried his gaurdian off of her son and walked with her to the hall way where she continued to Katie's room. James turned around to look at his best friend.
"Well, I guess you're stuck here with me playing viceo games." He said, patting Kendall on the back.
"Ow!" Kendall yelled, reaching for the tattoo on the back of his shoulder.
"Oops." James said, wincing.
Someone asked for this on a review for Talk To Me, which ya'll should go read. I really do like this idea, so think of it as a sequel to Tattoo, which you should go read also. And My Big Brothers. And I Swear I Saw A Mouse. Seriously, I love my BTR fanfictions so please go read them. Reviews fuel my creativity :)
