Disclaimer~I don't own Harry Potter...terrible
A/N: Hi guys! So, this is my first tragic fic (I tend to write the funny), and Draco/Hermione...so please tell me how I'm doing. I'm VERY iffy with it right now. I realize this is short, but I promise the chapters will be quite a bit longer (at least twice as long).
8 years later
time goes by fast
got my memories
and they will last
I try to keep it simple
cause I hate goodbyes
and I try to keep it simple
by telling myself

"Why does life always have to be so damned fragile?" The blonde asked his friend standing off to his left.
"Draco, you know the answer to that question, yourself. Why do you ask me?" The red head responded. He shook his head and swallowed the lump in his throat.
"She deserved better. She always deserved better." He whispered.
"Draco, her time came. It didn't matter how it happened. It was simply meant to. Just like my family." Her voice cracked. Unshed tears for her loved ones began to cascade down her freckled cheeks. "Wherever she is, knows that; and I can bet she wants you to know that."
Every year it was the same. Ginny would visit her families graves, while Draco stood in front of her grave, staring at the headstone for hours on end, feeling nothing but the pain of love lost. Ginny would return, finding him still staring at the spot where her best friend was buried, and return to her flat, with hopes that he would follow soon after.
She laid a hand on his arm. "I'll be waiting for you at the café down the street. Take all the time you need." She gave it a light squeeze before apparating away.
As if Ginny's exit was a queue, Draco unleashed his sorrows, his silent tears mixing and mingling with the rain. He continued to stand there, reading her headstone over and over, remembering everything about her. Her smooth, yet curly hair; the softness of her skin; her laugh that sounded of chiming bells. He felt his throat tighten. Feeling overwhelmed with emotions, his hands sprang into his hair and pulled, as he screamed towards the heavens. He screamed for his love, and the live she could have had, and to his love for breaking the one promise she swore to always leave whole. Quickly loosing energy, he fell to his knees.
"Hermione," He croaked as reminisced everything they had gone through against and with each other.
I, I will remember you We're not together
and all of the things
that we've gone through
There is so much I can say
The words get in the way so
I will remember you
12 years earlier…
A/N: Three guesses as to what I'm going to say...review!!! It doesn't take that long to do (well, for me it does half the time cuz I can write really long ones). Feel free to flame too, but beware...I will bite back.
