So after watching the last episode, and the mini, I thought I would try and write a one shot about Tommy and Angie and their last conversation. At first I started laughing at how insane the idea sounded but then I got to thinking, that would be different, and I hope you all like this!
Tom Quincy walked into the small apartment slamming the door shut behind him causing the women in the next room to jump up in her seat. A smile crossed her face as she walked over to him and kissed him lightly. He didn't kiss her back and he was reminding himself over and over that he needed to do this. He needed to. For Portia.
"Angie don't. Please. Don't." He pushed her away ignoring the look of pure confusion on her face.
"Tommy what's going on?" She grabbed onto his arm to keep him from walking away from her.
"Portia knows."
"So?" He eyes narrowed as he glared at her with pure anger in his eyes.
"So? So!? She's my wife, Angie! My wife!"
"But earlier you said…" Her voice cracked as tears blurred her vision but she refused to let them fall.
"I know what I said earlier."
"So that's it then? You're going to leave me for her?"
"No. I'm going back to her. You don't understand, Angie, she's not the other women, you are."
"Why are you doing this?" She paused briefly and shut her eyes breathing in deeply, trying to calm herself down before continuing, "Less than 24 hours ago you told me you loved me. I thought that…"
"You thought what? That I'd leave Portia, and my job to be with you?" he laughed bitterly, "Did you really think that?"
"Yeah, I did actually." She tried to blink away the tears not wanting them to fall. She failed. The tears ran down her cheeks.
"You were wrong."
"So that's it huh? You're going to go back to your wife and forget about everything we were. Everything we are."
"That's the plan"
"You were supposed to run away with me. Divorce her and marry me. You love me." She took his hands in hers.
"I love Portia. Not you."
"Not me? Right. You told me you did yesterday, Tommy." She laughed sadly wanting to believe that this was a dream and that she would wake up any time now.
"I don't."
"Yes you do! You do, Tommy! I know you do!"
"Damn it, Angie! I don't love you!"
"So that's it then? It's over?"
"Yeah, it's over."
"Okay…well…" She was crying harder now, not caring that he saw her crying. "Well…then goodbye," she started toward the door, picking his keys up off of the counter, "but know this, I will always love you Tom Quincy. I will forever."
She walked out the door slamming it shut behind her, very much wanting him to chase after her and tell her that he loved her and that he was divorcing her. No such thing happened. She ran toward the car getting into with tears rolling down her cheeks, her mascara smearing creating a few black tears.
Upstairs Tommy sat on the couch with his head in his hands, wanting more than anything to go file divorce papers with Portia and run off with Angie. But that would mean giving up the career he worked so hard for, and he couldn't afford to do that. After all, he wanted to be a star. There would be time for girls later, but now fame was the only thing on his mind, as well as Angie, but she came in second. He still loved her, but the job came first.
"I love you Angie." And with that he stood up and left the apartment and took a cab home, not expecting to get a call two hours later that Angie was dead.
So what do you think? I might edit this and repost it later but for now tell me what you think!
