She ran through the dimly lit city streets, clutching the note with dear life. She finally reached her destination, a blue house three streets down. She climbed the fence to the back yard and threw pebbles at the second story window. A figure opened the window. "Lillian?!" He said quietly. "What are you doing at my house at 2:30 A.M.?!" He said, somewhat annoyed. "I found a note...attached to a balloon..." Lillian said shyly. The boy jumped straight from the second story window, landing directly in front of the brown haired girl. "You wrote another one?" He said, attempting to grab the note. Lillian jerked her hand away. "You can't read it, Tru. I wanna wait till Zure and you and me are together...it's an interesting one!" she squealed. "Keep it down! We do this weekly, Lillian...cant we get a break off! You have to learn that life is life!" Tru said, brushing the light brown hair from his eyes. Lillian looked sadly at him. "...I didn't write this one, Tru. This one is from another world-" Tru cut her off mid-sentence. "Yeah yeah yeah...another world...what, your telling me aliens sent you a note my balloon??" He said, looking at his house and wondering how he was going to get back in. "No..." Lillian said, " But...I dunno where this one came from...you'll see tomorrow. Our spot, bright and early!" Lillian said as she walked off. "It's the same damn thing every friken week" Tru sighed to himself as he looked up at his window. Lillian was walking to her next destination: Zure's house. She got up to the front of the house and searched through the flowery plant next to the door. "Aha! Gotcha" she said, pulling the spare house key from one of the branches. She opened the door and quietly waked up the stairs, and into Zure's bedroom. Zure woke up to Lillian jabbing him in the face. "Wh-wh-whaaaa?" He said as his eyes adjusted. "...Lillian...what is it this time..." he said, rubbing his eyes."I found a note...a REAL one. Attached to a balloon. It's from a different world!" Lillian said, holding up the note. "Oh...is it that time of the week already..." Zure yawned. "Noooooooo! Really, im being serious this time!" She said, pulling at Zure's wrist. He fell out of his bed and onto the floor. "...Lillian...can't we handle this in the morning...?" Zure said, face down on the floor. "Adventure waits for no man!" Lillian said excitedly. "...Im a kid...and you're a girl...it waits for kids and girls. Our spot, ok? First thing in the morning. I promise." he said jerking his wrist away from Lillian's grasp. "Ok...But first you should put on a shirt...adventuring could get cold." Lillian looked down at him. About three seconds later, Zure jumped up and blushed wildly. "Wha-wha-wha...I...Im...thi-this is..." He scrambled back to his bed and pulled the blankets over his head. "G-Go home, Lillian. I'll see y-you tomorrow!" Zure managed out. Lillian shrugged." Don't you DARE sleep in." On the way back to her house, Lillian got the feeling she was being followed. Looking back several times, she discovered nothing. She snuck back into her room and sat on her bed, too excited to sleep. She re-read the note and noticed something on the back. "One...Two...Three...Fourth?" Lillian said aloud. "One Two Three Fourth." She said again, as if to make sure she had read it right. She plopped onto her back and drifted to sleep, taking no notice to the pair of large, yellow eyes staring at her from her window.
