~I Dream of You~
Flipping a strand of hair from my eyes, I yawned and looked at the time on my Poketch.
3:26 A.M.
Groaning, I rolled over in my sleeping bag, prepared to drift off to sleep once more.
"Dawn..."
What was that? I sat up and looked around. Everyone was soundly asleep it seemed. Shrugging my shoulders, I lied down once more, hoping to get some much needed rest before my next contest.
"Dawn!"
"Ash?", I whispered in the darkness. No response. I crawled out of my bag and crept toward where the dark haired boy slept. As I was about to call his name out once more, he rolled over and I could see that his eyelids were closed. Feeling foolish, I started to head back to my own bag before noticing that Ash was murmuring something. Curious I leaned in with my ear.
"Dawn...we did it...we won the tag battle...we make a great team don't we? Zzzz..."
Smiling and with a tinge of heat on my cheeks, I scurried back to my sleeping bag and closed my eyes, drifting off to pleasant dreams that I knew awaited me, but not before a final thought.
Yes Ash...we do make a great team.
