Just a prediction of a typical morning the Waige couple might encounter in the future.
DISCLAIMER: Surprise! I don't own the show!
A Typical Morning for a Not so Typical Couple
"Hey Walter, I don't care if you're dressed or not I'm coming in."
Walter jerked awake and found he had a difficult time remembering when he fell asleep. But it wasn't long before Paige marched into his loft looking a bit... Fiery.
She crossed her arms looking down at him by the foot of his bed. Not saying a word, but instead raising a single eyebrow.
Walter (still completely in his work clothes from the night before) was covered in a jumble of charts, notes and books. He was struggling to get into a seated position, when he discovered a pencil lounged into his curly hair.
For the past year he had been working tediously to improve his social skills by researching, reading body language and what not, but it didn't take much analyses to realize Paige was pissed.
"Oh hey sweetie," He said nervously trying, unsuccessfully, to adjust his groggy eyesight to check his watch.
"It's 12:15," Paige stated shortly.
Refusing to look at her in the eye, Walter then attempted to read his calendar in the most discreet way possible. What did he forget? What did he forget? Was it Ralph's science fair today? No, not that. Was it our one year anniversary? No that's in 34 days. What day is it even? Oh right, it's the 5th! because Sylvester made an interesting argument about the... And then it hit him.
He rubbed his face aggressively, "It's brunch day! And I missed it. Paige, I'm sorry. If this inefficient alarm clock would work half the time..."
She sat down on the bed, "How much sleep did you get last night?"
He just stared at her, his heart beat faster.
She shook her head and groaned, "Walt you have to stop this! You haven't slept in days. It's not healthy."
Walter scoffed, "I don't think it's my health we should worry about here."
Paige fidgeted with her hands. She did not want to have this argument again, "I worry about you and you worry about Megan. That's the way it goes. And I know you've been working late trying to… I don't know, single handedly cure the world of incurable diseases, but I'm not asking you to stop doing that. However, sleeping at least 6 hours a night would be... Um what's your favorite word?…. 'Optimal.'" She laughed in her attempt to do an impression of him.
Walter smiled and reached out to pull her closer. Her laughs turned into giggles.
"You know, I wouldn't have a problem waking up on time if you... were sleeping right next to me."
She attempted to fix his unruly hair, "When the time is right we will find an amazing new place for all of us. In time"
"You look amazing by the way."
Paige quickly kissed him before jumping out of the bed, "Wish I could say the same for you."
She started to pick out his outfit (it was becoming a habit of hers) "Be down stairs in 5 minutes. I still want that brunch." She gingerly gathered his notes into a pile and placed a complete outfit over his crumpled sheets.
When she closed the door, he sighed contently. Walter whispered to himself, "Make that 2 minutes."
Well this was a pointless one shot with absolutely no direction. But I wrote it for some light Waige fluff and because I have a horrible obsession with this show. But then again who ever else is on this fanfiction is as crazy as me and I love it.
But yeah REVIEW cuz I'll cry tears of happiness and then I'll jump for joy 100 times. I promise I will.
