Okay,so this might not be the best fanfic in the world, and that's mostly because I'm trying to work on videos and a Hannah Montana fanfic as well. But please read this and feel free to put reviews. :D
Four year old Will Turner stared at the window of his parents' Victorian. "Look daddy, look!" he cried. "A ship! Daddy, come look!"
Bootstrap joined his son at the window. "Yea little Willie, that'd be the ol' Black Pearl."
Will looked at his father. "What's a Black Pearl?"
Taking Will in his arms, Bootstrap sat on a chair and placed him on his lap. "Well, it's a pirate ship."
"Pirates are icky," Will said, getting comfortable in his father's protection. "I wanna be a blacksmith."
"And a good one you'll be." It had been almost a three years and Bootstrap was still waiting for the perfect time to tell Will that he was a pirate. "But you never know, you might end up with a different job."
Will stared at him in shock. "You mean I won't be a blacksmith?" His head dropped down in sadness.
"Of course you are," Annie, his mother assured him as she walked in the room. "Bill, stop worrying him."
"Sorry," Bootstrap apologized.
"Now," Annie said, lifting Will of his father's lap. "It's time for a blacksmith to go to bed."
"Hear that daddy?" Will said, pulling his father's hand, "You have to go to bed."
Annie gave him a glare.
"Oh."
Hand in hand, they walked to Will's room.
"Mommy, Will asked as he crawled in his bed, "If daddy's not a blacksmith, then what is he?"
Annie hoisted the blanket over Will. "You can ask him in the morning."
"Look mommy!" Will cried, pointing at his window. "It's the Black Pearl."
She looked at the window and watched as the ship gradually became closer.
"The icky pirates aren't going to attack us right?"
Annie kissed his forehead. "No sweetie. Goodnight."
"Goodnight."
She flicked off the light and left the room.
Will rolled in his bed at the thought of being attacked by pirates.
The moon shone through the open window as a breeze flew in. A bird's call echoed through the city's street.
He watched the night show and gradually fell asleep.
"Bill," Annie said gently as she sat down on the couch, "When are you going to tell William?"
He sighed. "He's better off not knowing at all."
"But he has to know sometime. You could put him in danger if he doesn't find out soon."
He's four years old. How much trouble can a lad like him get into?"
"But he's starting pre-school tomorrow. What if one of the kids parents are pirates too and they're after him? Then we'll probably never see him again."
"Yes you will," he assured her. He moved closer to where she was sitting and looked gently at her in the eyes. "I'm not going to lose our only son."
Annie realized the message that was coming.
They both leaned in and joined together in a kiss.
Sorry about the short chapter. I got writer's block. And I might not update as soon as I want to but I'll try my hardest. :D And it's kinda sucky too. Sorry.
