Tony had been on the way to a meeting when a random stranger bumped into him on the street. His treasured phone went flying down the sidewalk and he turned, venom on his lips.
"Hey, what the hell?" He pulled the sunglasses from his face and took in the man who'd bumped him, a tall blond-haired, blue-eyed man with an expression normally reserved for puppy dogs. "Don't you watch where you're going?"
"Sorry, sorry," the big man stammered, rushing to find the phone. Tony sighed loudly and placed his hands on his hips, watching as the big man finally found the phone and returned it to its owner.
"You really ought to watch where you're walking," Tony chastised, his voice softening a bit. "You're a big guy. Me?" He gestured. "Pretty average in size, like most other people. Keep an eye peeled next time, okay?"
"Hey, I didn't do it on purpose," the blond said, voice more defensive than accusatory.
"Yeah, yeah," came the disinterested reply. Tony was already back on his phone and heading down the street. "Next time, just watch out."
The blond man watched the other go, a frown distorting his normally placid features.
"But he walked into me," he said to no one at all.
