"It's a brick, Jason."
Piper deadpanned, staring angrily at her boyfriend, who sat cross-legged on the white sheets of one of the bottom bunk beds of cabin one, clutching a brick to his chest.
"No!" Jason shrieked, increasing his grip on the brick. "You don't understand our love!" At this, he brought the brick to his lips and gave it an affectionate kiss.
Piper's eye twitched. "It's a goddamn brick."
Jason gasped, putting both hands over both sides of the brick, as if to shield its non-existent ears. "Don't listen to her, Mrs Brick!"
Piper felt the urge to face palm.
Jason then turned the brick around and held it out at arm's length, showing Piper the smiley face that was crudely drawn on the brick in black permanent marker.
"We're soulmates!" Jason exclaimed. "We even have the same scar!" He announced, standing up and holding the brick in one hand, using the other to point to a tiny, cracked indent on the brick, underneath its black, permanent smile. He then pointed to his own scar; the one at the corner of his mouth; the one he got from trying to eat a stapler all those years ago.
"See!?" Jason exclaimed.
And with that, Piper marched forward and tore the brick from Jason's grasp. She span on her heels, bolted out of the entrance to Cabin one, and sprinted down to the dock, followed by a distraught screech from Jason of "No! I'll save you, Mrs Brick!"
Piper reached the dock, running to the edge, hearing Jason's footsteps behind her, and almost knocked the unsuspecting Percy, who was sitting on the edge of the dock, into the clear blue water. As she reached the end of the dock, she pulled back her hand and threw the brick as far as she could, smiling at the satisfying splash that followed seconds later.
"No!" Jason yelled, running to Piper and falling to his knees. "Why?!" He got up, ignoring Percy, who was clutching his stomach from laughing so hard. He turned to look at Piper, with tears welling up in his blue eyes. "She was too young to die…" He whimpered, causing Percy to laugh even harder.
Piper sighed, watching from the Aphrodite table as Jason, dressed in all black, laid a single red rose on the makeshift grave he had made for the brick, out of sticks and pebbles, and hung his head sadly.
"I'm dating an actual child…" She told herself.
"I wouldn't worry." Piper felt a hand on her shoulder and turned her head to see Annabeth. "Sooner or later, the tide will come in and drag that stupid thing out to sea."
Don't take this seriously, Please. It's just something I wrote quickly because my friend and I are having a competition over who would write the best PJO fanfic, and we decided the theme was Brason. I don't care for Brason much. And I guess this is only slight Brason? Anyway, Enjoy~
