Alirght, I'm bored with the general rules of fiction, I think I'm going to try something a bit different, try to keep up with me here.

Disclaimer: Garfield, John, Odie, and any other charactors from the strip do not belong to me, also, some of the scenerios and quotes are actually from the strip, and do not belong to me either, but the ideas outside of garfield, are my own.

Roger entered the office five minutes early, sweating and nervous, expecting his business partner to arrive shortly. He wasn't ready to get to work, he was tired of his job, he was sick of it, he needed something far more than a career. Roger worked for a very well known company that sold couches and easy chairs, and used the concept of laziness in their slogans. But the problem was that the company had no one skilled enough in the area to actually come up with the slogans, so they had chosen to spy on a very unusual cat who was constantly sleeping, eating, or causing hysteria amoung those around him, but was also saying smart ass remarks about life and situations. The cat was getting rather old, and because of security reasons, the government had been spying on the owner for years (they had had some reports from the american postal service of problems), so they were now studying the cat's behavior in the past. Roger's company of employment wasn't the only company that used this cat in their development, but each company regarded the others in a "if you don't tell, I won't." way. Well, how does this relate to roger's problem? It doesn't. Roger's wife left him after 23 years of marriage, anyone would be upset.

Roger's partner David entered the room cheerfully, not noticing Roger's perculiar behavior. He and roger never spoke to eachother, they had learned early on that neither was very fond of the other. They set up their equipment and set to work. Roger decided that he would look at the cat in the week of June 28th- July 4th 1981, for he had not covered that yet.

Sunday June 28th

The cat questioned the obediance of the dog who shared his residence, it could be useful, but Roger would have to go over it later.

Monday June 29th

The cat complained about rain and said something clever, it was not very useful. Roger was not coming off to a good start, and hoped that he would be able to bring home a good enough pay check to convince his wife that he was not entirely useless.

Tuesday June 30th

The cat sneezed at the floral print on a reclining chair. Roger liked it, and worked out a scenerio for it.

Wednesday July 1st

This time, the cat sneezed the flowers off of the reclining chair. Roger liked this as well, and added it to his scenerio.

Thursday July 2nd

the cat answers a letter to him about cat hair, this wouldn't do roger any good so he simply disgarded it. This reminded Roger of the letter that his wife had left him a week ago, it made his stomach church with discomfort.

Friday July 3rd

the cat accidently falls out of an open window, still no good.

Saturday July 4th

a rocking chair injures another cat's tail who tells the main cat about it. Sounds decent, they had recently opened up a line of rocking chairs and other hard surface chairs, although it could also work for recliners. Maybe a comercial where someone sits in a rocking chair and exhales in a relaxed way, "a nice rocking chair is great for relaxation after a hard day." but then the chair leans onto a cats tail who meows unhappily and runs off. "just not for cats."

Roger took up his notes, and filled out his apropriate paperwork before rushing out, still rather shaken.

Im kind of bored of this, but if enough people like it, then Roger might decide to come back to work.
