Ryo-oki and Ken-oki were deeply in love.
They were meant to be together but one thing kept them apart.
Their two fighting owners, Ryoko and Nagi.
One day Nagi showed up at the Misaki house.
No one was home except for Ryoko.
"Ryoko!" Nagi called. "I am here to challenge you to a duel!"
Ryoko stepped out of the house. Ryo-oki followed her knowing that Ken-oki must be around somewhere.
"Meow! Meow!" Ryo-oki called out, hoping that Ken-oki would hear her.
"Meow!" Ken-oki called. He walked out from behind Noggi.
Ryo-oki ran towards Ken-oki.
"I accept your challenge," Ryoko told Nagi. "Ryo-Oki!"
Ryoko snapped her fingers. Nothing happened.
Noggi turned around.
"Ken-oki!"
They weren't there. They ran off into the forest together.
"Meow!" Ryo-oki called to Ken-oki. She ran off toward a tree.
Ken-oki followed her.
"Meow meow?" Ryo-oki asked Ken-oki. Ken-oki nodded.
They started scratching the tree.
Nagi laughed and slashed Ryoko with her sword.
Ryoko fell over and held her arm, where she bled.
She was loosing badly.
'Ryo-oki,' she thought, 'Ryo-oki where are you?'
"Meow?" Ryo-oki had stopped scratching the tree.
She had heard Ryoko's thoughts.
Ryoko was in trouble!
Ryo-oki ran out of the woods.
She saw Nagi holding up her sword.
Nagi was ready to kill Ryoko!
"Meow!" Ryo-oki ran in front of Ryoko.
Nagi had started to swing her sword.
Suddenly Ken-oki jumped in front of Ryo-Oki.
SLASH!
Ken-oki was hit by the sword.
He fell on the ground.
Death awaited him.
"Ken-oki!" Nagi dropped her sword and ran over to Ken-oki.
Ken-oki cried in pain.
"Meow!" Ryo-oki called to him.
Ken-oki was to weak to answer.
Ryo-oki looked at Ken-oki then at Nagi's sword.
She ran over to it and picked it up.
"Ryo-oki! No!" Ryoko yelled.
It was to late. Ryo-oki jabbed herself in the stomach.
She fell down next to Ken-oki.
They were free...
In the woods, on a tree, were engravings saying K loves R.
